Champion Bumper 2020

Enurgumene raced wide all the way giving lengths away yet still travelled into straight with double handful. I was surprised he didnt pull away but he looked like he won cosy with more to come. Not blown away by it but certainly the dream still alive. We know the owner Bloom likes a bet at Cheltenham so maybe he rocks up in Bumper.

Power Of Pause mentioned by Patrick Mullins today in the video shared by KSS on the AP thread:

Interviewer: "Looking back here for Fairyhouse on Tuesday there's a horse with big interest, Power Of Pause, who won a 2 1/2 mile Punchestown P2P and he's now with your yard. The horse that finished 2nd to him and a well beaten 6L (Imperial Flem), he's recently won a bumper (sic) in Stratford for Evan Williams. How does he go, a nice horse?"

P.Mullins: "Yeah I actually rode him this morning, I like him a lot. He's a....(Son of Doyen?) yeah a speedy type of horse and not overly big, has a few gears. I know the day he won it was quite good ground I actually rode for Kate Harrington and pulled up with sore shins so he might be best seen on good ground (sic) possibly. But he has a few gears and I'm looking forward to seeing him out"

He wins it doesn't he. We all know that but don't want to say it.

PM keeps mentioning appreciate it.... but not in a very covincing way... not one I want to have onside but strange he’s not talking about any of the others unless pressed

When has Patrick or willie ever put up something useful publicly before its ran? . Not in there interest what so ever.

Cos he's run and done the business on his second start.
They rarely get too carried away with unraced horses.
Willie's usual method is to let his horses step up the ladder and then start talking Cheltenham.
There's certainly a few more bumper horses to choose from this year though for Patrick. It was slightly telling that he put up appreciate it as his one so far of the ones that have ran.
I'm not sure he enjoys riding Ferny Hollow myself, but the horse clearly has ability.

Power off Pause is not in the 8 final decs for the Bumper at 4pm at Fairyhouse tomorrow.

Think that is probably due to the ground. It is absaloutely pouring down over here and the ground is already heavy. Add in Patrick's comments about the horse possibly preferring better ground and thats what it looks like to me.

Sounds right

Welcome Eireman , Water tables already high , doesn’t need much more rain atm to be postponing meetings and then the ones that go ahead are on the heavy side

Appreciate It has been cut again by PP and into 12/1 fav with them.

Helpfully risk factor beats him in Dublin, as I think hes the better of the 2 myself.

Gordon might win the race IN DUBLIN though with Farouk D.

Flinteur Sacre is a brother to guess who and Sarwar Mohammed, who looked after Sprinter Sacre, tells me they are exactly the same
Henderson stable tour

Declared tomorrow. His brother only did Ascot and Ayr in his bumper season so maybe a longer term project. I am calling Grand Annual 2023 with the connections. :witless:

Israel champ is to go straight to Cheltenham Bumper according to David Pipe.
Just read this , but look's a few days old.

Saturdays at Navan is 2 miles, but Sundays Thurles race is 2M3F, so if the ground is still soft then probably Saturday would be preferable.

Makes sense, also helps the other Mullin entrant hasn't been entered up half as much as him, so i presume POP is going to be running first....guess of course.

*edit* scrap that, bar stattler whos running today, they are the only two entered in both races!
