Triumph Hurdle 2020

Homer declared for tomorrow. Hopefully we'll see a good one, as the proper one's now start to come out.

Anyone on Wave of the Sea for here? Good bit of support for today and although not same connections, Im being sucked in with similar path to Coeur Sublime last season. (finishing 2nd at the festival)

Maybe keep the fingers on the buzzer to pounce on the winner of todays race? (or an eye catcher)

Any reason for Echoes in the rain drifting?

Because it's a big ask for her on debut with no racecourse hurdles experience at all.
Iv backed her today as iv no choice not too, as she's too big a price for her ability. But she can easily come unstuck against more seasoned rivals. Too keen, novicey jumping, and it would be an even bigger task.

If she settles and has a clean round, I wont be suprised if she wins.

Fair enough, what about Wave of the Sea, considered it for Triumph?

I see you have mentioned Homer again, you and many others have it in the book, think I missed first discussions on it, can you tell me a bit more about it?

Cerberus comes over to take on Allmankind at Chepstow too so by 27th the race will take a bit more shape... although a few more still to debut no doubt.

A wave of the sea and basically anything that has ran already I have no interest in at all. I don't think they're very good, and think they've just been the best of the poor bunch that has been sent out to date.

Homer is a highly rated flat horse from france. As is rayapour.
Both will be out shortly.

Followed you in on Rayapour but must have missed the Homer chat. Will see how I fair today, good chance I will probably add it!

I thought Aspire Tower looked quite handy, not sure what he beat like.

I thought Aspire Tower was impressive. I backed him for Todays race @ 7/2 opening price on Monday and have him @ 22/1 for the Triumph. He settled better today and has the stamina you want in a Triumph horse especially if going is on the soft side

Aspire Tower looks decent value prior to todays race when priced at 20s this looks a serious contender with both his two runs clocking the fastest time of the day over his distance of 2 mile being compared with older horses.
Discussed page 23 of this thread.

NH on Homer:
He’s a new recruit to us from Andre Fabre’s and stayed very well on the flat so will probably be suited by further in time. He jumps nicely and his work has been fine so he’ll certainly be winning races but this looks a tough introduction

Doesnt exactly sound too upbeat on his chances as he normally does for one of his in a unibet blog but we will see tomorrow.

Tbf Id be more scared if he said he was burning up the gallops.

Hi blogs as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

Looking forward to seeing Allmankind later. Think he'll join Goshen towards the top of the market if he wins this

Homer.

Wins us some Doh?
Or is he Duff?

:triumphant:

Not cashing out quite yet, could be a good deal of improvement in him and the ground is bad at kempton but wasn't exactly what you'd hoped for first time out.

I agree. Thought they gave him a very tender ride. Would fancy him to beat those in front of him next time. Maybe just doesnt have enough time to improve enough to win a Triumph this year though.
