Yea that’s the thing, am sure they have high aspirations for breeding down the line I think their whole outfit is shifting that direction slightly.

Plenty of pointers to pick from that’s for sure.

I seen Sam Ewing gave Trim Castle as his one to follow, Gainford gave Down Memory Lane and Gilligan gave BDA as his the follow for the season.

As they have a very high opinion of her then she's one punters want to get on board early before any Stable Tours/comments come out and her price plummets so the 25/1 Bumper odds were clearly very appealing and offered big returns for very small stakes which is the perfect AP scenario. It could be she goes to the MNH or maybe bypass the Fez altogether or she might turn out a dud but, as with every horse, punters need to make up their own minds , look at what they have Infront of them and either back their judgement or leave it and wait for further clarification which carries the risk of missing out on the price.
        Is this an imposter??

He's even convinced me into doing that double too and of using El Fabiolo in other doubles. I'll definitely have some more of it again soon as well.

….no definite steer from MoM as yet. My suggestion would be we try and find 4 winners with a proviso they are from different trainers.

Given we now have a little bit of information that Captain Teague is starting off at mid-distance, he’s worth considering for the Ballymore at a general 16-1 (20-1 Hills). Nicholls last horse placed in the Champion Bumper was Al Ferof (2nd to Cue Card) who went on to win the following years Supreme.

Where they start and where they end up are two very different things. Al Ferof started over 2m but fell on hurdles debut, so his first completed race over hurdles was the Challow Hurdle over 2m4 1/2f where he finished 3rd and subsequently dropped back in trip and won the Supreme.

The Persian War (the race touted for Captain Teague to start in) is more known for staying types or handicappers, IMO.

Paul Nicholls has had 8 winners of the Persian War and only two turned up to a Cheltenham Festival afterwards (for whatever reason), they were El Bandit, who finished way down the field behind Presenting Percy in the Pertemps over 3m and Wonderful Charm who finished a very long way behind Solwhit in the World Hurdle.

Personally I'm hoping Captain Teague is beat in the Persian War and drops back in trip like Al Ferof done, I think the Supreme is his best option, but this is just my opinion.

Just my opinion obviously but I think the only theme we should be working on every month is to try and find 4 winners. It's hard enough to do this without limiting yourself to certain horses, trainers, races etc.

Wouldn’t we end up with the same monthly Yankee of Constitution Hill, El Fabiolo, Gaelic Warrior and Galopin De Champs

Bit harsh,I'm in no way trying to criticize MOM who does brilliant work here on the Yankees. Just thought it might be easier not to tie ourselves to certain criteria. Again just my opinion and in no way a dig at anyone on here, thought a forum was all about opinions

Just be the same selections and the same bets that most people are probably placing anyway.

Sensible themes allow the discussion to be focused a bit but still the possibility of a few gems being unearthed. And something slightly different to the usual. I'm all for a theme me

Don’t think anyone thinks you were criticising mate.
It was just me messing about.
I understood your point and so would many.
Reading it literally just made me laugh.
Pretty sure most suggestions are in the hopes that they might win (theme or not) !
If not then some people’s opinions/choices are downright lies.

Aye, the theme of novice races only was all good because all of those races obviously have to have a winner, so people are only suggesting horses they think could win.

If the theme as above is similar to one each from four big trainers, that are almost certain to have at least one winner, then it's all good because again people will be nominating likely winners (in their opinion)

It's not that themes are being discussed that are like 'horses with six letter names'. At that point we've probably lost it a bit and people will just suggest anything...
