We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Would be interesting to know how many previous Yankees ended up with 4 runners

If the theme as above is similar to one each from four big trainers, that are almost certain to have at least one winner, then it's all good because again people will be nominating likely winners (in their opinion)

It's not that themes are being discussed that are like 'horses with six letter names'. At that point we've probably lost it a bit and people will just suggest anything...
      Exactly
The over riding theme is obviously finding winners.
      Like your examples.
The themes have never been ridiculous to the point of shoehorning any old shit.

        …ok, I’ll nominate JONBON

This might be a bit convoluted for a theme, but which four single figure / short price favourites do we think are most likely to be turned over? Do a quick vote, and then find the most popular alternative for each of those races.

That's certainly a thinker Spectre. I reckon I'd put forward Allaho (I think Envoi Allen could take over as repeat winner), A Dream To Share (I don't think the Supreme is going to be that obvious), Impervious (Gold Cup attempt??) and Facile Vega Turners (bit of a cop out this one, think IEP will take this one).

            There's a starter for 10

Impervious is missing at least the first half of the season. What I take from that is she will either miss the season or stick down the mares chase route.

Could be a good one to back against given she's clear fav for the mares chase, in case she doesn't make it

Agree with this fully. I'm gonna get a couple of the longer priced horses onside now while I can but this news is either really good or really bad for those bets depending on how long she's out for...

That would be El Fabiolo and GDC then.

Lossiemouth - could well win but just can’t trust the previous seasons 4yos until they prove it in open company personally
Jonbon/Allaho/El Fabiolo - current top 3 at head of the Ryanair market can all be opposed in my opinion
Impervious/Allegorie De Vassey/Insit - likewise in the mares chase

Chances I’d take against them (preference order)
                          - Kateira, Love Envoi, You Wear It Well
                          - Banbridge, Bronn
                          - Maskada, Dinoblue, Night And Day

…personally think the alternatives to 4 favourites is a bit of a tangent. if posters have a strong view for one in a race with a shortie then they can put the case forward for consideration rather than looking for 4 in that category.

I think it was nortonscoin200 who somewhere mentioned Energumene for the Ryanair in light of the Impervious news, sounds a decent shout…

I’m not sure I see the angle of turning down the opportunity of the hat trick in the champion chase. Willie has plenty he could run in the Ryanair
