Hello Fat Jockeys,

    Something I'll consider.

Having Notebook in there doesn't make it straight forward.

Just thinking out loud too, not committing to this as a good idea yet
PTKO (Champion Chase) and BDD (Mares Chase) might also be worth doing. 62/1 with B365.

“It was a great start for him,” Paul Townend, Chacun Pour Soi’s jockey, said. “He was fairly asleep early on in the race and got a good blow into himself. He had the other two well-beaten when they fell at the last and was entitled to win. It’s good to get him back on the track.’

Townend added that the winner’s jumping had been “deadly” and that he should “come on plenty for it” ahead of possible Grade One targets at Leopardstown in December and February. (Guardian Article 6th December).

Anyway we all know as with many of Willie’s they aren’t to be judged on their first run of the season, my point was (as Crowley emphasises) the idea that the way he has performed in these season pipe owners in anyway represents a disappointment to connections in the wider sense is not correct in my opinion.

Doing it with both, each way, might be smart also.

She's my best winner in the QMCC, so it's only a small outlay in case I've gotten her target wrong.

If she wins I'd still be happy despite the loss on the day.... if she lost, I'd likely feel a bit happier?

            • Notebook really well backed to beat Chacun tomorrow.

Agree Ista. Racing post's comment on her finished by saying "hard to fancy". Can see why she's 3rd favourite but saying she's hard to fancy is ridiculous IMO

                  • Should be a great race and will really give an idea how last seasons novices match up to horses like Chacun.

Ultimately I think they will all come up short to Chacun tomorrow and we'll see a massive improvement from his first run but will be interesting how the all fare and where they finish in respect to each other.

Would be great to see Altior run well too, ultimately though he doesn't look to have more competition tomorrow and looks a good price there.

Think has great chance and still good bet at odds

Depends whether Chacun is the star we think and can run 175+

On ratings PTKO has lot to find but not impossible

Agree. Notebook looks to be Chacun's biggest threat . This was not the plan with Kettle but clearly she needs a run and now as it just fits perfectly timewise re a prep for the festival. Not sure Leopardstown will be her course. She's never ran there before and it may be too sharp . As long as she runs a decent race tomorrow I'll be happy. She's 3/3 at Cheltenham and March is when she'll be at her best. Chacun simply has to win tomorrow . He needs to live up to the hype and I do hope he does. I don't know what they'll do with him if he doesn't. It's D day for him or should I say C day.

He'll be going nowhere other than the Champion Chase come March

Looking forward to him dispatching of this field with ease come the weekend
And he does it with ease.

I think as expected last seasons novices shown up there a bit.

                              • Think that confirms two things

                                a) Notebook didn’t run his race at the Arkle
                                b) The Arkle was poor
