Not entirely sure what ‘disappoints them again’ refers to but struggle to see a likely scenario where the current relatively short priced fav for the CC would be rerouted to the Ryanair when connections already have the reigning champion lined up for a repeat bid in that race.

He’d have to get legitimately beat by a distance. They love the horse and will want to give him every chance of winning the CC especially after what happened with his late withdrawal last season.

Apart from beating trees a couple of weeks ago his record on deep ground isn’t great, the way he’s talked about you’d think he was a multiple champion but it could be that ground comes into their thinking in a much stronger renewal.

Understood, and he’s still got plenty to prove to justify his lofty reputation. I was just looking to question Lobos’ assertion that he has disappointed them (connections I assume) before and that he would likely be heading for the Ryanair if beaten over Christmas.

They've come out publicly and said they were disappointed with him last time didn't they? They expected more from him. If he gets beat at Leopardstown then they'll have to have a rethink surely?

Absolutely. I'll be shouting on PTKO to lower the colours of CPS and book her one way ticket to the QMCC. I mean, if CPS dispatches of PTKO with ease then I'd assume they go mares chase route. So many moving pieces

The smart play there, in my opinion, is to back CPS on the day in a double with PTKO for the Mares Chase.

I very much confer Kev, that is definitely the play for me as I have neither in the book.
