Triumph Hurdle 2019

I cashed my sir erec bet that was antepost and put it all back on NRNB.
I still have Pic D'ohry at 22-1 and would win similar amount if either wins.
I personally don't think Nicholls will run Pic D'ohry if Sir Erec is fit.
There would be no need to.
I'd be surprised anyway.
I'd love it to run as it'll make for a more interesting race and it'll please a few people on here, even the irritating ones (all people I've never met, but still wish them happiness)

Nicholls and HD aren't repeatedly talking this lad up left and right without him having very realistic chances of running. There would be no point. I know I've backed him but I just don't think that would make any sense

Cashed mine also , paid out @7/1
Still have in multiples
If Sir Erec wins good luck to all that are on , however I cannot as I’ve said previously forget easily Apples Shakira @6/5

Adjali did another very good piece of work this morning lads FWIW.

Happy days. I had all but torn up my win bets but have him in a fair number of skybet place specials, so more confident now

Did he get his head in front of Countister?

Seriously though would bring the Fat Jockey house down if he came in and would pay for my festival

IF Sir Erec is fit, have i missed something?

Layers of Fakir D’oudaries seem to have gone away in the last few days. Was available as big as 30.0 and now only 12.5 - I wouldn’t be surprised to see him run here as well as Sir Erec. If I owned them i’d come here with a two pronged attack
Update: Fakir D’oudaries now 8.0 on the machine. Has JP made his decision to run here?

To add - I would fancy him if he ran in this, interesting few days ahead in the market

You get the impression Joseph would run them both here.

I can't see why the 'plan' would change though ...

I cashed and re-backed NRNB so he'd want to be placing at least haha

Here’s what Paul said last night re Pic D’Orhy word for word:

He’s an interesting horse in (starts reading what he has prepared) that he won 3 times in Auteuil in the summer and autumn, he’s got a French handicap rating of mark equivalent in this country of 149 so if I ran him in the Fred Winter he’d have to run off 149. So 149 is actually 3lb higher than Quel Destin, so that shows the sort of level he’s been running to. He’s an absolutely gorgeous horse for the future, big strong chaser, loves soft ground, he’s done nothing wrong, he galloped very very well at Wincanton about 3 weeks ago, um, and I’ve run horses twice before, Aux Ptit Soins won on his first run in this country, won the coral cup, and Diego Du Charmil won the Fred Winter on his first start so it’s possible. He’s done everything right at home, if it keeps on raining I’d say he’d run and he’s a very interesting one and it will be real interesting choice for Harry to decide between Quel Destin and Pic D’Orhy that’s for sure. He is a proper horse.

How can the Pic D’Orhy backers not be buzzing at that. He made the point about some of his French ones winning having had their debut at Cheltenham, he was thrilled about what Pic did at Wincanton, Harry Derham is name dropping Pic like he’s met someone famous, Paul is pleased with everything he is doing at home, he is rated better than Quel Destin and he talks about the choice Harry is going to have to make on who he rides like it’s a serious decision. The heavens are due to open today, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday if the forecast is to be believed. On top of the rain we have had that will leave the ground more likely soft than good to soft, so it will be right up his street. As I have said in previous posts, he wasn’t included in the ‘I am going to show you 12 I am taking to Cheltenham’ for a laugh, he is going because Paul thinks he has a serious chance on winning. Up the Pic

Everyone who is anyone has talked up Sir Erec for this and now the money is coming for Fakir,I would be very worried if I was on Sir Erec for this, infact I am on and I am very worried now.

I've got 4pts on him @ 20/1, but it is what it is.

Not going to worry about something I can do sweet FA about.

Could just be that JP wants his best two darts in this race, he’s not shy at running his best horses against each other

Fair play Tim if you can do that but plenty on the forum checking each day for late injuries to their selections or late switches or the ground going against their selections etc,we can't to anything about it but it's a worry, for me anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a desk jockey that works from home, so I'm on the PC almost all day doing the same. Nervy, for sure.

Woooossshhh.

Well that could have been worse.

Not ideal but jeeeez I'd take that over any other news we could have had
