Triumph Hurdle 2019

Chief Justice got 124 (UK) for his first 2 wins. The 3 runs since then would probably put him up at least 10lb and maybe more but he won't get a new rating in the UK until Cheltenham. No official Irish mark yet.

wrong thread

He was a short head second in a grade 3 and would have been in the first two in the grade 2 Knight Frank before falling at the last. That seems more like a preparation for a Triumph contender than the Fred Winter. If he was going to the Fred Winter I think he’d already be in the 130’s.

Jackie,
With a decent jockey in the saddle I'm convinced CS would have 2 graded race victories under his belt. Now thats Triumph Hurdle form.

If the UK form is what it looks like, they're both average and no where near triumph hurdle level.
I'd imagine neither will get anywhere near to winning at leopardstown in Feb

I fully agree with you... unfortunately

Coeur Sublime was always going to progress throughout the season as he’s so inexperienced. I’ll wait until March to judge him.

Feel a real shame for this horse and trainer. The jockey had totally messed up in that last 2 races. He is stopping the horse from reaching its potential. Why the loyalty?

No big shock here but just sharing coz a few on Adjali, he is due to run trials day at chelt, blow up last day, hopefully he can get his nose in front and get some valuable course experience.

Thanks Billy. Was hoping he'd be running on trials day next so very happy to hear that news

Good news Indeed , Cheer's Billymag.

Adjali still 16/1 in places could look a decent price again come end of Jan if all goes well, i'm half temped to chuck him in some perms at that price as thought he was 12s.

Another good performance by Torpillo under a fair penalty. Not one I'm on but I may have to get involved with him.

Billy what do you mean 'blow up last day'? They pulled clear and he didn't go past. Don't think he blew up...

Id agree he was beat fair and square by a very good tenacious horse imo. Different tactics differnet ground. Poss a diff result. But on that day in them conditions and how the race was ran. He was beat fairly. Still ran very well

He hasnt had the smoothest of preps, so reasonable to assume he cud be a better horse end of Jan.

I agree 16/1 is a very decent price for Adjali...having backed him like a lot of you on this forum at fancy prices previously I have topped up with another good bet at that price yesterday. As long as he has a trouble free prep from now on I fancy he may not be beaten again this season.

One thing to not about him is he almost pulled himself up in France and absolutely fell in.
He's facing trees here atm. But look at him over the last again today. Once he's up in grade its worth noting. He finds zero off the bridle. His attitude and will to win is very questionable.

Personally, I thought he looked very very tired.

Best of a bad bunch today imo and will be found out against the better types.

The time was pretty poor as well, I couldnt have him for this.

Was the interrupted prep for Adjali just niggles Billy? Clear run till March now and on a nice bit of good ground he still very much interests me for this
