No, it's definitely not too early. Altior proved today that he is the epitomy of what a Cheltenham banker should be and at 4/5 I say fire in. Buveur D'Air at EVS is nearly as good. If we are keeping the banker theme going then I'd throw in Tiger Roll.

We do have Altior @ 7-4, and B.d @ 7-2 in the first yankee this year , so maybe go for something different.??.

I'd avoid odds on in December.

I don't think either will be beaten but they'll be boosts, enhancements, NRNB security closer to the time and the prices won't be HUGELY different.

I don't think we should look to take either on though.

Before today Kalum River had been 2nd to Commander of Fleet 6L - and 2nd to Royal Rendezvous 4L

Press Conference was beaten 28L by Tornado Flyer today
Before today Press Conference had been beaten 13L by Lone Wolf, was 10L behind Brewin'upastorm in a P2P and 5L 2nd behind Carefully Selected in a bumper

Cueno was beaten 13L by Tornado Flyer today
That horse won the race than Relegate was beaten in at 4/9 for Willie last time out.

Dream Conti was beaten 9L by Tornado Flyer today
Was his first run over hurdles and had been a very well beaten fav behind Raya Time in his final bumper start

Take Revenge was beaten 3L by Tornado Flyer today
He's previously been beaten 26L by Dorrells Pierji. A good run from him today.

I don’t know what anyone else thinks but I kinda like the idea of December being a Christmas yankee.

By that I mean we form the Yankee of horses who impress over the Christmas period. That week from Boxing Day to New Year’s Eve is full of top class racing that will be good pointers for Cheltenham.
