Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

Got everything crossed about Malone Road, but if there is an issue Id like a back up for this race and although I've covered Andy Dufresne, I see him more as a Ballymore type, so going to add Abacadabras. Small bet at 33/1 and a bigger bet at 25/1 with the cash out option.

He was in the process of pushing EA fairly close at Leop and was travelling as well as anything coming off the final bend in the Bumper only to be outstayed. A bot disappointing he couldn't beat Colreevy at Punch but she did get first run that day and it was still a decent enough effort.

He strikes me as a horse who could really keep improving this year.

I've backed 2 from the bumper for this one being Abracadabras and the other being Sempo. Watching it back he was imo travelling the best turning in then seemed to get outstayed. JOB has said he might want further but he didn't look to need further in his bumpers so had a bit on him at 50s and Abracadabras at 33s.

Malone pushed out to 12/1 with PP today. Hopefully as mentioned above we see an entry tomorrow for the weekend.

The sign we didn't want to see. And Envoi Allen cut! Bad news pending I feel.

PP the one bookmaker who usually don’t push without reason, usually ahead of the game with the Irish racing.

Pushed out due to rumours started on Fat Jockey Forum according to Twitter.....

Considering they were 20s for envoi allen for a good while after his race could it be theyve taken a lot of money on him and knowing that both horses are not likely to end up in the same race to help their position theyve shortened Envoi and pushed out Malone road?

Spot on I'd say.

Oh dear. Yes I agree... Pretty certain we will hear he's injured and out for a bit.

Yep- hopefully not too long and he'll still make it back. It's so annoying when horses that look so good never get a go of showing it.

DM i received wasn't confirming length of injury, just that he was out of his box + it was already filled again.

As i said earlier in the thread about the time i was there, that's probably not a great sign- but then again, he operates such a busy yard, if the horse is out injured for 2 months it's possible he'd be moved out anyway to get another one in from pre-training and race.

Hoping the agony of waiting ends soon, he was my biggest 'any race' bet this season, and I even went 'any race' to give myself the best chance too :highly_amused:

This is the moment I wish I had been race specific and got cash out as an option, this will be a big hit :sorrow:

I can cash out for a profit on the horse now... must admit its tempting me.

The knock on effect of potentially switching EA to this race would be a hammer blow!

Really hoping the rumours aren’t true, Malone road (supreme) envoi Allen ballymore my biggest outlays for the festival come March. Think could potentially be a double blow of envoi being routed down the supreme road.

Biggest play last season was Le richbourg and got burnt on that also! Can’t seem to get that bit of luck.

I can't even think about that option yet :highly_amused:

Sure there are plenty of us in this boat mate :sorrow:

You'd like to think stable money is down on the Ballymore already and they stick with that plan for EA. Andy Dufresne and Abacadabras can be their Supreme horses!

EA is a Ballymore horse through and through. You only need to watch his race back to see that. Samcro all over again.

I personally believe he could win either race in the absence of MR. He certainly isn't short of speed, and is a much speedier type than Samcro to my eyes... Whilst there is plenty of stamina on the dam's side, he's by a crack miler after all.

They crawled for a mile and a half the other day and only quickened up the last 3f . He did show real speed at the end of his race and was electric over the last 2 hurdles. The fact he took it up from the start and the way he travelled screams the longer race to me.
