Supreme Novices Hurdle 2020

My mate has told me MR should line up on Saturday as planned. He knows someone in the yard so if he is injured then its being kept very quiet by them. I guess I will start worrying if he gets pulled for that race and something comes out then.

Looks like we start worrying now

"He’s back in good form and he’s going to do a bit of work after racing at Punchestown today (Wednesday). We are considering starting him back in a winners’ bumper at Down Royal or Punchestown before sending him novice hurdling, but he might just go straight over hurdles. He’s moving really well and looks in great shape. He could go a bit further, but he’s always looked pacey and I wouldn’t be surprised if two miles is his trip." Gordon Elliot on Malone Road in the ATR stable tour. im guessing the Punchestown meeting is next week where he won last year beating Mt Leinster

That's a old quote Diggler. He supposedly picked up an injury doing that price of work.

Think it was more to do with Elliott mentioning an alternative target to Down Royal. Fingers Crossed he makes the Punchestown meeting.

McFabulous entered up over 2m tomorrow
Would expect him to possibly step up but looks a lovely horse

On another forum that MR took slight knock to same leg but not serious and will only keep him back 2 weeks. Probably not reported by stable as so minor. These things happen to many horses all of the time. Just that with high profile horses people, myself included, go into meltdown. Good news though......if true!

Any idea where they got their source from?

No idea. But sounds consistent to what's been posted here which is good. I've owned a horse in the past and the bugger always had niggles which didn't keep him off the racecourse but certainly hit the pocket in vets fees!

I personally believe he could win either race in the absence of MR. He certainly isn't short of speed, and is a much speedier type than Samcro to my eyes... Whilst there is plenty of stamina on the dam's side, he's by a crack miler after all.
You haven’t seen what Mullins has got for the Supreme yet....

Somebody else put something like that on Twitter as well, said he will race within 1 to 2 weeks. I have tried to text my mate and he hasn't got back to me yet. Me and a few mates have lumped on after what he told me so I will be fuming with him if he is wrong.

Is this the guy that replied to another tweet saying that? If so I wouldn’t be taking that word at all

Is it? From what I’ve seen in here it’s that he’s due a run or what I posted that said he was definitely out of his box. It came from yard but no confirmation on short term or long term just that it was the same knee!

I cant remember now Jack, I will have another look. Something I read today on a break

Ps I’ve just seen someone on twitter say he spoke to Elliot at Down Royal and will be out in 2 weeks time....

That's the one I saw mate, thought I was going mad haha. Lets hope that is true. Liked the look of Sporting John today btw mate, hes off the dossier

Wouldn't worry about horses being out of their box.......mine was never bloody in it !!! Horses go for racecourse gallops, travel with others to racing for experience, constantly visit vets, often go to seaside, are placed elsewhere when boxes are given deep clean and even go and see horse shrinks !

Money coming for MR in Supreme. 8/1 in places. Hopefully injury talk is behind us !!

i know, but when its combined with the fact that i was told he had taken a knock to his knee, that is necessarily a good sign. Especially when the box was meant to be filled again! Hopefully it is a good sign, but the bits of money are for bookies i wouldn't consider much of a guide...He's still bigger than EA for this and not really moved at all since this morning that i can see.
