No benefit whatsoever in him talking him up at this stage though... plus, he likes to say things that are a little bit against the grain in my experience of watching him talk!
 
I agree there is no point talking him up. But I remember him waxing lyrical about Don Cossack. He’s certainly not averse to saying when he’s excited.

Yeah I suppose so. He basically said the hype is rubbish and the horse isn’t the second coming.
 
Thought Annamix was the one here but since shes been put away for the season i have been looking and looking at this race and nothing jumping out at me.Had a little win yesterday so put a few quid on Mengli Khan @12/1.Liking it now

FM. I’m pretty sure he used the exact words I quoted? Don’t mean to come across as against him as I’m not at all. I am a fan... I love any exciting novice. I just think the hype has been particularly crazy about this one. His form is very ordinary to my eyes and just can’t believe his price. I suppose I prefer to see such effusive praise when they’ve won proper races.
 
I'm a little confused at just how much Annamix seems to be so disappointing for people. He had nothing for anyone to base it on iother than hype.... at least SAmcro's hype has somewhat been justified because he won 3 bumpers and now 2 hurdles.

Not a direct comparision, but Samcro was big prices at one stage too ...

You loved Annamix more than most on here.... I don't get how you can prefer Annamix to Samcro as a bet at literally any stage of their careers so far?

That's fair enough CCM. I can see why people would criticise the price. In all likelihood, the first proper opposition he'll face will be at Cheltenham in March.
 
I didn’t Kev. I’ve been on Mengli Khan from day one. Had a small saver on Annamix as didn’t want to miss what appeared to be the Mullins talking horse. But I’ve never bigged him at any point mate?

Edit. Didn’t take it as having a go btw!

Haha. Hope he does the business for you. I’ll probably be converted before long. Just reserving judgement for now. I’m probably a bit biased towards MK for my pocket, but don’t think he’s getting the credit he deserves as he’s achieved much more than any other novice so far. And is still 7/1 compared to 7/4 Samcro. Madness!

I'm surprised Mengli Khan isn't shorter than he is at 7/1. I've got him nicely covered at 16s but obviously that is nothing mcompared to 3 figures!

Tougher races to come but you could say that for every horse obviously.
 
Somewhere along the way , i remember reading comparisons of Samcro to the " Machine " , so it's understandable that
the horse has been hyped right up. I dont think any punters are going to hold back on that,
especially when he was still double figures at the time .
