Supreme Novices 2018

I know that I'm on at 3 figures. Only 1 run to go on but the winner is very good and he's had plenty of time to fit into the mullins regime. A typical harold kirk/ Pierre boullard buy and expecting big things here.

His flat form is nothing special whatsoever

Daly tigers bumper run where he beat trees looked visually exceptional

3 Figures! lovely. I got 65s!

Daly Tiger did look visually impressive. Will be an interesting match up. This owner seems to be spending big with Willie so hopefully Reel Steel is the business.

Jared Sullivan on Reel Steel

We like him alot and willie thinks he could be very good. He goes well at home. Placed on the flat in france, he finished runner up on his only outing over hurdles at fontainebleau in march. Only beaten a nose, the winner izzo has won another three times since, including a grade 3 at Auteuil. He looks an exciting prospect for novice hurdles.

Do we think he definitely goes for this, or chance of the Ballymore too?

Definite chance for the Ballymore however i think Willie will have Getabird/Next destination/Sharjah/Winter Soldier for that one. He's not got a supreme contender at the moment so it could well be this fella.

I like RED JACK, his form has been boosted a few times. Also got SAYAR at fancy prices, think he could be one to watch.

Kevin Blake and Kevloaf keen on Sayar too:very_drunk:

Iv backed real steel for both at big prices . Id be surprised if winter soldier goes further than 2 out of them. But all options are open right up to 2 days out .

Can feel a Jezki/Champagne Fever scenario happening in the Royal Bond / Supreme Hurdle, winner of the Royal Bond then has form overturned by one of its rivals in this race when they actually get to the festival. For me this is the toughest novice hurdle race to date from Ireland. Not much shown up well, with the exception of Slate House, from this side of the sea yet though.

It seems quite a few are keen on Real Steel. It wouldn't surprise me if Willie got this one ready for the festival in the first season where Jared Sullivan has dug deep yet again but this time around with Willie as his chosen trainer. I've read a few reports that's despite rumours, Rich Ricci actually buys his horses within a budget, as opposed to Sullivan who seems to have had a blank cheque book, probably still gutted he sold Buveur D'air to JP! IF these rumours are to be believed it would certainly make sense for him to want Willie to get one ready for this race from the off.

Reel Steel the Real Deal for Supreme Sullivan and Magical Mullins

I should do headlines.

You've got a future there Kev!

Im hoping for Magnificent Mengli rules Supreme :very_drunk:

"Magical Mengli shows Reel Steel the real deal and stuffs "Magical Mullins in Supreme Standoff " ....big Gord tells all.... :devilish:

Willie Mullins hopes to have Sayar back in action during the busy Christmas period after a setback ruled him out of the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

Formerly trained on the Flat by Mick Halford, the four-year-old made an encouraging start to his jumping career with victories at Kilbeggan and Tipperary.

Mullins had been looking forward to testing his powers in a Grade One event he has won on a record seven occasions, including in each of the last three years, but Sayar is currently on the easy list.

"Sayar has had a little setback and missed a few weeks training," said Mullins.

"The Royal Bond was the plan and hopefully he'll be out again around Christmas."

Anybody heard anything about Debuchet? Thought he was in the Royal Bond entries at one point?

Shame
Glad he was intended though

Hopefully real steel does the business today and goes close to fav.
Whether he warrants it is another matter

World Premier vs Black Op vs Lost In Translation tomorrow 12:20 Newbury. Should be a good race, and if World Premier or Black Op can beat Lost In Translation they'll be smart and have chances in this race

Should be a cracker. Black op for me
I know your firmly in the world premier camp.
So hopefully one of us comes out unscathed :)

Just took a little of the 40.0 real steel ballmore to top up the 70.0 a little. Have plenty on for the supreme at 132.0 < 100.0.
