Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

I was meaning in regards to work riding- i thought you were saying he's def ridden him at home- just not sure how you'd know that.

I’d a choice to make between Aramon, who I rode to win a Grade One here over Christmas, and maiden hurdle winner*Klassical Dream.

I’ve gone for Klassical Dream who had Sunday’s rival Vision D’honneur back in fourth that day and he went on to frank the form by bolting up at Punchestown.

Aramon was very impressive at Christmas but it’s possible the race fell apart a little bit, and make him look visually more impressive than the form suggests. Klassical Dream has improved since Christmas and that’s why I’ve picked him.

If one of these was to stamp their authority on this race, they’d be vying for favouritism for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle next month.

Unusual.
But Maybe they think they have something in there he's very unlikely to beat. And like klassical dream last year, would be running in grade 1s for valuable experiance without shedding his novice tag.

"Elixir D'ainay ran well in a maiden hurdle in Punchestown. He's a horse with a lot of ability and a chasing type down the line," said Mullins jnr. "We think he's a Graded horse, so we're giving him a go in a Graded race and if he doesn't win, he can still be a novice next season.

Don't want to put you off KD Scoob but a mate of mine over in Ireland says he may not be fully wound up this weekend as hes missed a bit of work lately. Rather put this up now than after the event.

If there’s still a bit to work on the fact he got up on the run in when Aramon looked like the winner is very encouraging. Doesn’t look a vintage Supreme at all so if Ruby rides I imagine he’ll be second favourite at worst on the day

Supreme looks open enough, but the two irish ones are pretty clear, unless a four yr old pops up
And the ground could really shake it up, if it ever rains.

PT was 'too honest' there, he was trying to keep Aramon straight in the run in and kept pulling him right to keep him away from KD. Maybe cost him I don't know.

Was a cracking race tho and either could win the Supreme.

Klassical Dream is my Supreme horse so happy to see him fight back and get his head in front. Great to see a battling quality in a young horse

Aramon was giving him 1lb too. Both go there with a live chance.

You'd have to say so. Aramon is better than i thought. I'd still favour the winner today but you'd now have to say aramon has a very live chance also.

nice battling performance from Klassical Dream. Happy to have him in my book but will be putting more on Elixir de Nutz after watching that race.

Don't think Ruby went for everything to be honest, could have kicked a lot earlier.

It's hard to pick which would be better suited to cheltenham.
My instinct is neither, but couldn't be sure.

Ruby said they work together and there's nothing between them.

Have to say I think 8/1 looks very fair for Klassical Dream. He’s now proven in a Grade 1, on quicker surfaces, proven left handed, and has pulled nicely clear with his stablemate. I felt there was a little left up the sleeve too.

8/1 very fair assuming he comes out of today okay.

I don’t play the Supreme hugely but am tempted to have a small amount at that price and have him covered. Surely he will line up half that price on the day?

Aramon was hanging. Any other jockey would have taken the rail and won. Townend is too nice.

You would have to assume the likelier improver of the 2 is KD, based on fewer runs.

All over KD and have nothing on Aramon in singles, he's only in a couple of small doubles. So possibly being a bit bias/hopeful. But I see KD improving further myself.

Willie - “they are both good Novices and if we get softer ground KD will improve again from that”. This is the best single piece of 2 mile novice form IMO and granted usual Opening Day Fez ground, feel 8s is very fair. Already on at the boosted double but tempted to top up.
