Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Heard anything specific regarding Annamix Archie? Having rewatched the race, he travelled really well and I’m pretty sure PT took a look between his legs rounding the turn, only to find very little.

Nothing specific about any horse other than Eileen O, just that she wasn't the only one and the bumper horse on Friday was withdrawn because he'd coughed.

After reading all the comments over the last day or so I’m torn on cashing out or not.. i already have angels covered along with a few others but I’d love to see annamix have another run in the next week or so..

I cashed out what I could with 365 for a 20% loss of stake. Still have around 80% of my stake elsewhere including a good few free bets. If my whole stake was with 365 think I would cash out the lot.

Same as last year, no regrets following the hype at a big price (just wished I’d stuck to 365 and reduced the number of free bets), essentially done the same with Angels Breath so hopefully he’ll end up a lively contender on the day

I could understand if annamix had been sent of @ 2/7 and got beaten then we could put forward the argument he may have been unwell however he drifted out to 4/5 so people knew he was crap and we are all looking for a reason why he was beaten. I'm sorry lads yet again we have been sold a dud.

Annamix back into 16s with 365. Wait til NRNB in a few days if you plan to cash out.

FYI 365 went NRNB on 8 January last year.

Senewalk went to a home for retired racehorses i believe - saw something on twitter at the end of last season.

Cashout value on Annamix is now full stake for anyone that hasn't cashed out yet.

I'm still waiting for NRNB personally, just in case there is a bit of profit to be eeked out. Unlikely, but I can't see any reason he'd go out in price again.

In a parallel universe - one without hype and Twitter...

'We were happy with him. It was his first run for us after a long break and a few injury niggles and Paul was delighted with the way he travelled and jumped. We were disappointed he didn't see it out but we've left plenty to work on and most of ours improve for their first run. He was just done late on by a race fit rival. We'll step him up in trip next time, probably left handed with a view to coming back in trip for the Spring. He's a nice horse and we like him. I see he's 25/1 in a place and I couldn't put anyone off.'

They Wouldn't put anyone off backing him with PP who are standout 25s. Even though he's going up in trip and looks in need of it.
The lads at power towers getting a few quid in for the new year party.

Pulled all monies back from Annamix as i could.Just sat on free bets now but might go back in when NRNB

It's not a quote Vautour - merely my highlighting how hype and social media can build up incredible expectations. If no one had heard of Annamix before Friday, the reaction might have been very different. Willie goes to great lengths to calm the hype but he can't begin to control it. What would have been an acceptable performance? If he had dawdled clear after the last unextended with Townend doing the feckin' Macarena up the run in, you would have the backers pulling themselves off and those who had missed the fancy prices saying he had beaten nothing - Mickey Mouse race etc.. Honestly, he could never satisfy the hype. If he goes and wins now you wait for the backlash from the cashers out. They'll probably want a feckin' justice refund. If you were a backer you have two choices - stick with it or bail out. But please don't come back moaning if he finally justifies his reputation. Fact is, those 'judges' whose opinion you put so much faith in a few weeks ago when you backed the thing do have quite a good record. But for every Vautour and Douvan there will be the odd Senewalk - that's life. Doesn't mean they've lost their judgement overnight.

Brilliant, can you make up a quote for Laurina please ?

The experience may yet be heightened with Aramon. After producing an electric turn of foot to snare the Grade 1 Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle, Aramon has entered calculations for the aptly-named Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, for which he can be backed at a top-priced 16-1 for the Sky Bet-sponsored contest.

Unlike Kemboy, Aramon is likely to have one more run before Cheltenham.

Massey said: “We’ve always liked him but the turn of foot he produced was fantastic.

“After the Royal Bond, Willie said we’d go back up in trip, but through one thing or another he decided to take a chance given the uphill finish at Leopardstown. The faster pace also helped him."

He added: “We’re thinking of going back to Leopardstown for the Deloitte Novice Hurdle in February and the lads involved in him are all dreaming about the Supreme Novices' Hurdle after that. It’s very exciting.

I dont think anyone who may know a little more wants to answer. As he could come back in later. And also if a big deals made cashout can be suspended.

Aramon 65/1 looking alright now. They seem to have decided 2m is his trip.

Mullins said: "He'll have to go down that Grade 1 route now and that looks his trip on nice ground. It's nice to win a Grade 1 for the Supreme Racing Club."

Aramon – sent to post a lesser-fancied 6-1 shot behind 9-4 favourite Triplicate and stablemate Sancta Simona at 5-2 – tanked through the race but connections would have feared the worst when he was caught in a pocket turning for home.

However, once out in the clear Aramon ranged upsides Sancta Simona jumping the last, before sprinting clear on the run-in to win by ten lengths going away.

Walsh said: “He jumped really well and they went a really good gallop, it suited him and he quickened really well from the back of the second last. He's getting better and it was a good performance."
