Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

PP & Betfair both cut Annamix today, from 25's to 20's, not a drastic cut, but must be reason behind it, I suspect they were not brave enough now 365 cut him back to 16's. Again, not suggesting he will be the one for definite but one run in 830 days finishing 2nd does not mean he won't be up to getting competitive in this race come March.

Aramon 65/1 looking alright now. They seem to have decided 2m is his trip.

Mullins said: "He'll have to go down that Grade 1 route now and that looks his trip on nice ground. It's nice to win a Grade 1 for the Supreme Racing Club."

Aramon – sent to post a lesser-fancied 6-1 shot behind 9-4 favourite Triplicate and stablemate Sancta Simona at 5-2 – tanked through the race but connections would have feared the worst when he was caught in a pocket turning for home.

However, once out in the clear Aramon ranged upsides Sancta Simona jumping the last, before sprinting clear on the run-in to win by ten lengths going away.

Walsh said: “He jumped really well and they went a really good gallop, it suited him and he quickened really well from the back of the second last. He's getting better and it was a good performance."

Are you on at 65/1 as well? Somebody must be cursing the day they took on boopa and Kevloaf :p

I laid off at 17/1 my stake so I'm just on for "free" and 40-something to one.

Live outsider though, I like him.

A surprising cut none-the-less. We'd have to assume people have backed the 25s?

Whether there is any logic to that or not only time will tell.

I'm still waiting on cashing out. I'm not on for more than 2.5 pts in a single but I am tempted to let him run again.

I'll be interested to see if he goes up in trip next and can find someimprovement ie black op. Iv no interest in him for this personally

Will win it from the front, like Champagne Fever :triumphant:

Slow old boat

Probably took about twenty quid :devilish:

I've only got a couple points at 20s, so willing to let it ride.

I was backing at 25s. Although I doubt I’ve moved the market.

Backed Elixir de nutz 37-1 WH
form is fair and looks overpriced considering.
Entered in tolworth so may no it's fate saturday.

Not sure what to make of Torpillo getting an entry in the Tolworth....

Yep, saw that. he's more likely to run in the juvenile race though I'd imagine.

Most likely but still intriguing to get an entry in both as they’re at the same track.

I noticed that Elixir de nutz went Blue across the board today , best price 25-1 now.

be a brave man to back at this stage given that two others of JP still entered but from NJH

"Rathhill won very nicely at Newbury. I was impressed with the performance and he has always looked the part. He has a great temperament and a lovely attitude to life," the trainer said.

"He is a very burly horse, has plenty of gears and two miles will do him for now. We decided to run him a week earlier at Newbury because we wanted to give Rathhill extra time before the Tolworth."

He runs according to hendo.
And my idea of the toworth winner

I like Champagne Platinum to go well whichever race he runs in. Roisin Hickey (PTP Trainer) seems to have a good record with Cheltenham Festival horses that come from her, both Champagne Fever & Champagne Classic were from her. May be one to back in the 'any race' market I think.

Eldorado Allen is reported to be on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery for a injury sustained in a dramatic incident at Aintree last month.

The Colin Tizzard-trained gelding ran loose after unseating his rider when badly hampered at the first flight by The Grand Visir in a novice hurdle over two miles and one furlong.

Eldorado Allen was sent off odds-on favourite for that race following a winning debut at Sandown in November, having moved from France.

"He bolted up at Sandown. We took him up to Aintree and a horse cut across him and brought him down. Then he ran round the racecourse," said Terry Warner, who co-owns the gelding with John Romans, owner of Welsh National hero Elegant Escape.

"He might come back at the end of the season. We don't know yet. He will be all right. He chipped a bone just above the knee. There were little bits of bone. We had it X-rayed and he was operated on. We saw him afterwards and he's fine.

"He's got to have box rest for eight weeks and then he'll need eight to 12 weeks to get him fit. We'll be lucky if he runs again this season, but long term I don't think it's done him any damage. The Sandown form has worked out well because several in the race have come out and won since."

16 weeks puts him to Grand National day, I would imagine he’ll be put away for the rest of the season

Annoyingly I forgot about the length of time he’d be out and added him to a free bet double last week so no chance of cash out

Thanks Scooby, just cashed out with Bet365, may be worth copying in the Out of the Festival thread

Cheers Scooby, not a huge one for me but was in a few doubles of which I have now cashed.
