Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

It gives Willie a good line with Annamix, I'm sure.

As previously brought up I would not be backing anything for the Supreme that comes out of this race, famous last words of course haha!

No idea where COF ends up regardless of result here tbh. Literally all 3 novice hurdle races are a potential for him.

Interesting to see how Skelton’s Betameche gets on in the first at Newbury. Hasn’t seen a racecourse in 2 1/2 years but he was very highly thought of previously and his bumper form is rock solid. Whether he still retains that talent is another story.

Since 2003 7/15 horses have gone from winning the Royal Bond to the Supreme, some flops but plenty of place form. Wild Passion 2nd, Dunguib 3rd, Jezki 3rd, Mengli Khan 3rd. In a supreme that lacks any stand out star I think Quick Grabim at 33/1 is a decent enough EW play for the supreme, providing you think (as I do) that his mistake LTO cost him and he will win the Royal Bond on Sunday. You are probably right though COD, hardly a race that produces supreme winners, but then I said the same about the Tolworth last year haha

Sorry, I should have made it clear, as a win prospect I did mean. Agree about the place value and Quick Grabim is a horse I like, whose form is stacking up nicely.

Happy to be on Quick Grabim at a good price for the Supreme and took a flyer on this race at the 8's earlier in the week. That said, if Commander Of Fleet is just half as good as the Elliot stable think, he will have his work cut out. I was rather hoping they might skip this 2 miler with COF. Denied!

I’d really want Severano to put in a good performance with regards to Eldorado Allen. Severano would not have been fully tuned before the Sandown race against Eldorado Allen he will hopefully improve and be in there at the finish. It’s a nice little race though and could prove informative.

Sevarano finished a neck second so I’ll take that as a form boost for Eldorado Allen, especially as Sevarano will likely need further soon.

I agree JM, the placed horses of today’s race and subsequent win of Kateson makes the collateral form look useful. Eldorado Allen’s novice win is working out well... the third is running at Bangor tomorrow.

Maybe Willie is just getting a handicap mark for Quick Grabim. its not normal that he runs a horse so often so I would be a bit concerned he won't run in the Supreme.

I think he'll be aiming higher than that for now Chris. Not usually his style would you say?

And franked the form again.

Yep the form is doing well. I suspect some of these next time out winners were not fully tuned at Sandown and 2 miles may have been to short for them - buts it’s good to see never the less.

Blue across the board for Eldorado allen today @ oddschecker.

33's still there with w.hills. ( if you've got a spare 5k :))

Champ and Champagne Platinum both in the Supreme market now with O.checker . Maybe J.P will have a supreme runner
next march with Didtheyleaveyououtto already in the mkt.

Another race tomorrow of one that's been hyped up and one with substance to his form.

Quick grabim should be winning this tomorrow.
They'll be no excuses from me
