Supreme Novice Hurdle 2019

Highest Sun tomorrow was one i have in notes thought he was promising FTO vs 2 decent horses...

He's in a handicap tomorrow, someone that knows more than me, he won a 4yo hurdle in April, is he no longer a novice? I know if a horse wins a hurdle after a certain time they can race till Drinmore weekend as a novice, has he lost his tag?

He's a novice.

He's a novice.

Any view on him Scooby thought he ran well enough LTO for all being keen and hanging left....running in a handicap so early probably not a Supreme prospect, but perhaps they didn't want to put him in a small field novice hurdle again were they'll likely crawl around...

He is one I have an eye on Jack.

Unsure which race yet but certainly in the notebook. Ran well first time out for Tizzard in the Thomas Darby & Didtheyleaveuoutto race.

anyone know why Anytime Will do was pulled at Cheltenham's last meeting? Expected him to be in tomorrow but guessing they are waiting for boxing day given the owners. He's done everything nicely so far without being flashy. May get a bigger guide over the next couple of days with the form of the horse he beat well in his bumper. Collaterally his form is working out well

How can Highest Sun still be a novice if he won a hurdle in April?

Just seen it was the 19th of April.

Cut of date is April 28th. I was wrong he's not a novice.

He's not that good won an awful race in France. I don't massively rate the 2 he was behind last time.

Cheers Scooby, so that's why hes into handicaps so soon then- and possibly a bit of a nutcase as well....

Hopefully a bit bigger out there priceswise than 9/2 on offer now, but i think i'll follow him tomorrow.

Two in front of him no great shakes i'd agree

Just spent over an hour on the race tomorrow and I don't think he's especially well handicapped and the race has a few in it with potential for more. He could be on a fair enough mark, but the handicapper has had to be a bit guessy with it.

Ballyandy won betfair off 135
Kalashnikov off 141.

But is his novice form as good as theirs at this stage, it's difficult to tell for sure.

Just having a look at this now:

Until the last i thought he travelled very nicely, and probably having done the donkey work he's left himself zero gas + started hanging...the one thing i noticed is even, if he did get left behind by those two in front, he didn't stop at the finish + continued at the same pace...

I would like to this horse covered up a bit more tomorrow to see what he can do.

Both of the 1st and 2nd had obviously run before and had shown strong form- so i think a mark 132 isn't the worst about, and Robbie Power is a nice booking..

I do agree thought 5-1 wouldn't be the nicest price about.

On Angel's Breath tomorrow- in receipt of weight or not its a good test of his ability very early in his career.

He probs goes halves in price if winning tomorrow + its a good sign he was the "pick of the bunch" for this tomorrow. As was said earlier, Hendo had plenty entered here + he must be working well.

Elixir De Nutz done it well today, giving a fair amount of weight away.

Another small nod towards the form of Thomas Darby, and as far as I am aware a nod towards Eldorado Allen who I believe is TW's better of the 2, however further proof on the track is required for that one.

Eldorado Allen has had a set back. Chipped bone in the 'hip', will be out for a bit, unsure on exact time scale though.

Hip shouldn't be too bad, loads of support in that area of a horses body (I think the theory goes!)

I wonder how big a price Elixir De Nutz will be when the sexier horses have come out.

3 runs at Cheltenham for Tizzard over course and distance, 2nd, 1st, 1st

He's odds on to run in this race, 33/1 best price (36 with the boost). Slate House had a similar (not quite as good profile) and was 50/1, however I did end up posting about him a few times thinking he was over priced.

When he starts getting forgotten about after Christmas, I imagine I'll end up bnacking him. I reckon 50/1 will be available. I don't think he'll be near the top of the market, but the course form is worth a second look regardless, nearer the time...
