Stayers Hurdle 2020

Quite a lot of blue on oddschecker for champ today (from many firms who arent NRNB) - as my biggest winner of the festival (in the RSA) I really hope he doesnt get rerouted for this. Not sure why hes entered - You'd have to question what hendo is putting in his brandy!

Cut to 10s with Unibet too?

Hmm.... they wouldn't, would they?

Looks like if he falls next time out. He runs here.
Simple as that.

Eddie O'Leary says Apple's Jade will probably run in Thursdays Galmoy Hurdle.

Great news; now where did I stick that antepost bet after last years Cheltenham festival.......

would city island revert back to plan b and come here now?

Early bird....

Could do, 10/1 NRNB and only best price 16/1 isn't enticing though.

Even his Ballymore win beating Champ gives him plenty to find with Paisley Park?

Now you know it is the target, it's a little more enticing.....

You know what, he's a festival winner, and 16/1 is alright when I don't like loads of the others in the betting.

I'll take it.

Can get some at 18/1 too

16/1 would seem value now in comparison to the 16/1 I got 9 months ago, however it would not be value for either of his runs thins season.

Poor jumping or not he hasn’t been in with a sniff anywhere.

I’m happy to have a bet out the bin but I expect the same returns

He's got only 1 good bit of form in his life....

....but that was a Ballymore win.....

which is just always worth a second glance and 16/1 e/w in a not deep race isn't bad.

The problem is he's got absolutely loads to find and you're relying on the magical "festival" to light a fire under his tail.

I'm on though, I'll chance him

My only bet with City Island (Stayers) was in a lucky 31 placed after last years festival. It also included A Plus Tard in the Ryanair so, along with the entry for Fly Smart, a great news day.

The positive for City Island is two other horses.

Summerville Boy & Thomas Darby.

Both were not great over fences, but have since returned with good runs over longer trips over the smaller obstacles.
Less pressure on jumping and more about their stamina.

Just made the wrong read with City Island- I chances him for the Champion thinking that looked more open but they’ve gone for the stamina which is fair enough.

16/1 is well worth a snip of - on the day he must be no bigger than 8s-10s?

I couldn’t have him at 16s after his performances this season. If he gets a run over hurdles between now and the festival then he might be more interesting. Does anyone know of any plans for a prep or is he going straight there?
