Ryanair 2020

Completely agree with this. Don't have Defi as a 2miler myself. Probably won't back for either anyway.

I have him down as the one to beat in the Champion Chase, although haven't backed him yet.

Even giving 6lb, if beating a 153 horse by just over a length is brilliant, you're very easily pleased.

Don't read too much into that, never have. Just the style of his win suggests he's coming back to last year's form. Nothing was going to get past him. Ballsy horse. Thought Top Notch was higher than 153??

Keeper Hill.

Not just archie,
But it's a bit of a punters habit, to name the second horse beaten when downplaying the form of a winner.
even when there's far better rated horses beaten further back.
It's like a lazy jab.

I think all trainers/jockeys will say Altior is the one to beat but if it's Soft then Defi will be challenging.

I could have added that Top Notch was clearly below form because he was so far behind Keeper Hill but I assumed that everyone would work that out for themselves.

It was a decent performance from Frodon. No more, no less.

Absolutely. Keepers Hill has improved no end this season following a wind operation and will be put up another few pounds after that.

Again, very lazy and all assumption. Exactly why I don't take too much notice of ratings. All about pace of race and visual for me.

Great to see Frodon back to nearly his best after one disappolnting run in the Betfair Chase. I would mark him up on todays performance due to drifting left at many of the fences. Even better I backed him last Monday at the entry stage @ 13/2 before the Altior debacle.

Maybe Gold Cup this year?

He’ll almost certainty go here IMO. Min to show him a clean pair of heels
