Ryanair 2019

Finally read that Lydia article some left field ideas including either Altior or Might Bite running here

I would LOVE to see them against each other over this trip, as a one off race (but not to the detriment of the other races!).

Wouldn't happen. A defeat for Altior and a defeat for Might Bite and it'd still never happen while both with Nicky. Altior needs Nico's strength anyway as he bustled him along 2f out every time haha

What's the chances of Might Bite missing the KG and sending Altior there instead?

You'd need Altior beaten in the Tingle Creek and Might Bite to pick up an injury in my opinion. I don't buy the theory they'll 'leave out' the King George to freshen him up for the Gold Cup. Nicky Henderson is on record saying the King George is his target and it suits him better...

So pretty slim, would be a very exciting runner but I doun't think either things will happen

Does anyone know if Willoughby Court will be taking up his engagement at Newcastle on Saturday?

Sorry ignore me.. see he's been declared for Newbury tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing him out.

NR today.

Update on Willoughby Court*- He isn’t 100% this morning which means he won’t run at Newbury today. It’s incredibly frustrating for all the team and in particular Paul and Clare Rooney who have been incredibly patient and supportive. I was very excited to get him back out on the track but that’s racing! It’s a long season and we hope to have him out again soon.

That's a shame. Had a bit of bad luck hasn't he. Not one for ante post (too late for me haha)

Too late for me too but at least they are not risking it. Still relatively early days. I interpret 'not 100%' as something minor so hopefully see him out soon.

They just said W.C . had some Lameness.., but nothing too serious.

***That said (regarding WC not being an ante post bet...) ..... Have 365 made a mistake in pricing Willoughy Court up at 33/1 for this race?

Wins first time out? shortens 100%
Loses and probably able to cash out at the same price? (Or very small loss)

I can't see him being a Gold Cup horse, and probably not a Ryanair winner in all fairness, but 33/1? He's no 33/1 shot based on his Festival Neptune win over the mighty Neon Wolf.

Covered Alboum photo Ryanair before he runs at 20s with cashback. I think gold cup all day long. But i love the horse and I'd be sick if he ended up here and I diddnt have a voucher at 20s on him.

Min is 3/1 for the John durkan which has a current field that's alot stronger than the Ryanair will be. What price should he be for the Ryanair ?

Currently best priced 14/1 with Skybet.

If Mullin's owners know anything about their horses, Bellshill isn't going to the JD, he will run over Xmas..

If all horses were A1 for the JD i'd agree on your point but highly doubt PP will be....then you drop to ABP and Shattered Love who still need to prove themselves in open company.....

Of course Min will be a shorter price for the Ryanair if he shows up + if you want to back and then lay or whatever which you seem to do, its a good strategy.....just not for everyone....He wouldn't be my idea of the winner at this stage + we have plenty of the season to go..

If ABP and shattered love have to prove themself in open company, which they do.

Does PP get a pass on not needing to prove it because he ran against our duke in open company?

He's in the same boat too surely.

Min would go off short in the Ryanair. Even shorter in running when it's cruising along before getting outstayed. Hope it runs so I can lay it.

I suppose he is but as he is generally considered a big player in the GC this year i left him off- suppose that makes your point to compare Min's price today to a Ryanair even harder to agree with...

Is Shattered Love an intended runner for the John Durkan?

Min only has to beat a load of 3 mile plodders if not? :devilish:

Was just looking at this market myself, notice PPBF want Min onside. I’m wondering if this might really cut up, Willie to run max 2 of his? Corals 3/1 Min might look decent.
