RSA Chase 2019

He probably has had a setback.

“I didn’t bring Buveur D’Air, because I just didn’t think he needed to do it,” said Henderson

We know Santini needs it.

Henderson has always said Buveur D'air needed it too, called him a 'stuffy' type continuously, plenty of work required etc... Strange.

Twitchy bum time COD :-)
Know I’m listening /reading as much as I can and putting different spins /opinions on everything , it’s why we love it so much even though my BP goes through the roof on occasions lol

Quiet a bit of confidence from Gordon Elliot and Eddie O'Leary (for him) regarding Delta Work last night - "more worried about the 17 or 18 fences" than the other horses.....

Santini and On The Blind Side both working at Newbury at Sunday and will go for the RSA

RSA:
Gordon-says Delta Work worked well yesterday but does not do anything too fancy at home. He says that Chris's dream is not good enough but Eddie says that Chris's dream was not running here and going to Aintree.

Eddie- respects Santini but says a sneaky one here is Mortal. He had a great run behind Delta work at Leopardstown but was ridden too forward the last day and would be ridden off the pace here. He seemed fairly sweet on him and reckoned a great each way bet at a big price.

Was the comment about the fences just tongue in cheek? :highly_amused:

I'm adding Mortal 1 pt e/w NRNB at 33/1 regardless :)

It was a bit tongue in cheek, but there was a confidence about him from both lads. I must admit that the Mortal mention surprised me a bit

I think that Giggi will use Mortal as a pace setter for Delta work . The 8L winner.

Fewer fences in JLT.

I’m on Delta Work any race at 17.5/1 but Mortal & more importantly BBB finished too close to him last time out for my likings considering both horses form since :devilish:

TOTG FTW! Actually more confident now than ever of a big run from the big fella.

How in the world is Santini the favourite for this. Might be the lay of the festival.

I agree. I've got him in two early comb. multis so still not a loser on my book. Even with hoped for improvement , I still cant have him against the monster that is Delta Work.

I also have a gut feeling that Santini might not run, just a hunch. OK Corral to be the yards runner here if so.

Yard don’t decide where JPs run imo

I dare say JP may not be overly keen to move a horse just because Nicky doesn’t have the fav

It's a fitness issue that would concern me about backing Santini if I even considered him as a danger to DW.

I was surprised Santini was fav after the Kempton race compared to TOTG...

Since then, missing the prep when it was badly needed is another negative (probably not to be OVER PLAYED) but a negative nonetheless.

I wouldn't lay him at 1/3 because it's not my style and I'm on at 16s 12s and 10s - but he's a poor price on what he's achieved so far....

The way he finished at Kempton I'd be surprised if no one thinks he can't turn over the form with TOTG at Cheltenham. Delta work however should be favourite but I'd have Santini a close second fav.
