He's changed his focus towards this in the last couple of years (with the main focus being the title mind) and he's had plenty of graded winners to be fair. Of his graded runners at Chelt, only two finished outside of the top 10 (one was a 125/1 shot in the bumper) so I'd say he's maximising the ammo he's got to be fairI think Skelton is in a bit of a transition. He's the number one trainer in England from a money perspective but needs to move from winners to graded winners. So wouldn't shock me if he does "take the easy route" when it appears to take more big Saturday TV race wins. A bit like how Brian Hughes is often champion jockey but is nowhere at Cheltenham.
