Granted it was only a four horse race, but couldn’t resist a little trixie with the 1-2-3 in the Down Royal Champion Chase (Gerri GC, EA Ryanair, Conflated XC)… what a finish that was :onthego:

Sounds perfectly ok to me.

As im sure we will all be watching Sir Gerhard tomorrow….,could think of a double with Dinoblue & SG Stayers ….,or if want to be super crafty…..Dino by several lengths

Not sure this really counts as related. In fact I’m sure it doesn’t so apologies….just done the top weekend rprs (see novice hurdles thread) in ballymore/ Albert Bartlett combos

ive taken the liberty of making better days ahead the moral victor.

So Firefox, betterdaysahead and Ile Atlantique in cross doubles for both races. Obviously shop around as the prices for these horses can differ wildly firm by firm.

Remember VC offer 4 places if that is important to you as the place double in itself could be nice at these prices.

Getting ahead of myself but Facile Vega v Inthepocket on Saturday at Navan. A prime opportunity for the reverse doubles. FV Arkle/ITP Turners & ITP Arkle/FV Turners.

Don't waste your money...... just do the latter one:excitement:

Do you mean backing them to win the race at the weekend combined with the antepost opposite ?
I.E Facile Vega Saturday in a double with Inthepocket for the Turners AND In the Pocket Saturday with Facile Vega turners ?

Or the actual antepost reverse doubles ?

I don't like either option to be honest. Saint Felecien a very real danger in the race. And you need both the others to be running extremely well on Saturday (and no hard luck stories) to have any sort of angle.

Interested to see how it turns out though so share the odds of the bets if you place them please. :rapture:

I like both horses so prepared to gamble them for the Arkle and Turners. However, you could do FV to win the race and ITP to win Turners if you want a safer option and vice versa.

Got ?10 in free bets from the Bet365 Chelsea v Man City promotion so 'wisely' reinvested in the ante post doubles.

For those worried about Saint Felicien, why not cover him in a few doubles too?

Obviously more dead bets after, but this is often value way to get horses into your book ….,whether that’s using the actual race or Arkle/Turners doubles

it also takes a lot of stress out later in season when we reach Bingo time :confusion:

Sounds like he'll need the run.

Another one for Sun to think about is the Edwardstone & Jonbon clash, which could send one to Ryanair

Not a surprise & see him more as Turners personally

Fitness poss decider overall …,Henry’s horses in good form & no shock to see ITP run well & poss upset

Edwardstone to win on Sunday with Jonbon in the Ryanair is the clever play, if you fancy Edwardstone.

Jonbon to win on Sunday and Edwardstone to win the Ryanair is more likely to happen, but a risk that Edwardstone loses and drifts for the Ryanair so it's sub optimal

Or you could back them for the QMCC/Ryanair reverse double, but I don't like those kinds of bets before they run, I like to see them both run well and the bookies get a price wrong, or under estimate the form and then the related part is a strong formline

Not sure which you meant, but on the radar definitely

All options …,not decided yet

Tend to think Jonbon will go QM if at all poss …JP never won it

I like Edwardstone for Ryanair so that will be part play

Covered Jonbon Ry ages ago in double with El Fab

Surely you're almost better doing nothing on Saturday then reviewing market moves afterwards. Than playing three doubles from the same race, on horses that probably take up near on 100% in that market anyway?

Depends what happens I guess …..and everyone on here has a diff approach that works for them

Odds do long on SF that it’s a v low risk plsy if do add him in .,,,tho whether he is fit anyone guess

General point on “bingo” opportunities

I like to take stress out and lean into Mullins bingo (& others sometimes), with doubles or just long odds (exchange goo) on second most likely race

Prob been area win most on in recent years ….and it takes stress out and becomes fun when it happens

Best example prob when Appr It went Supreme (was always likely anyway as raced at 2 m) ..,,the double with Bob in particular was dreamy

Obviously not for everyone as get loads dead bets….but at low stakes it’s quite fun
