Related Bets (ideas)

Speculative double Luccia and Ywiw.

One I was considering too. :encouragement: Just not sure she’s got her ground.

Another I’m considering is Tellherthename and Jango Baie.

Jonbon today and Edwardstone for the Ryanair at 32/1

Jonbon QMCC / Edwardstone Ryanair 146/1

and 29/1 for Edwardstone today and Jonbon for the Ryanair

It's 104/1 for Edwardstone QMCC / Jonbon Ryanair

I like the first two

Speculative double Luccia and Ywiw.

LIke this. Put up a Luccia single bet in the other section earlier on this morning, so makes sense for me to cover this angle as not got Youwearitwell in any bet.

I toyed with the first one earlier but held off because they're likely to push Edwardstone out today for the Ryanair of he gets beat.....aren't they??

I do like Edwardstone as a dark one for the Ryanair.

I don't know is the honest answer to that.... sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't

My thought was, that as Edwardstone already had the seed of the Ryanair in his past (and this pre season) as an option, they're unlikely to over react - or less likely.

Obviously depends on how he gets beaten, if beaten

They wouldn't push him to 33/1 though regardless would they?

They don't need to do they? Just play Jonbon as a single and then roll the winnings onto whatever Edwardstone gets pushed out to?

I agree that he's likely to get pushed out in 90% of scenarios where he's beaten here. Never been too fashionable has he...

Although yesterday's Facile Vega and In the pocket doubles must've gone about as well as possible to be fair.

Perfectly feasible, although with cashout I can't see Jonbon winning and not being able to get out of it, and again I'm not sure you'll get better than 32/1 (unless you roll the superboost evens) ....

To be honest it's a lot of effort for a horse (in Edwardstone) that's not likely to be single figures for the Ryanair on the day of the race regardless :indecisiveness:

I'll probably cash it out :loyal:

If his 3 rivals turn up today on their best form then Jonbon could be vulnerable.
So just in case, I’ve done the 3 to win today and Jonbon Ryanair doubles for small stakes.
Hope they all lose, as I want Jonbon in the QM , but if one does come in I could have a nice price for Jonbon Ryanair

Can't think that the Soft , sticky conditions today will be to Jonbons liking and the only times he's been beaten have both been at Cheltenham admitably against superstars. If Edwardstone is back to his best he could trouble Jonbon especially taking into account how good he looked in the Tingle Creek when fresh on his first start. Lovely interesting race.

How short does El Fab go if Jonbon is beaten today? 4/6 or so.. ?

Bet365 have pushed Jonbon to evens so I've done that and will put it all on Edwardstone if it wins.

They have an uncanny knack of getting these 'super boosts' beaten though.

These super boosts play with your mind, i did the captain teague one on Friday and when it was beat i said no more but that lasted two days and I've backed jonbon !

It's a good job they restrict the max stake, otherwise I'd have done my bollocks on them over the last 3 months.

It's got to the stage where I try to resist the urge too.

Should try lay some of the shorties they select I wonder what the results would be.

An owners one .... but

American Mike (BANC) 25/1
Found A Fifty (Turners) 20/1

545/1

Taken that each way

Exact same price as well, 545/1 for todays form to work out well....

American Mike (BANC) 25/1
Fact To File (Turners) 20/1

It's not glamourous but the boosts are often a good % and so generally an easy lay on the exchange for a modest chance of a modest free bet. That's how I play them. If overall I'm down at Denise's in doing so then I've lost nothing overall, helped build my 'mug punter' profile, gained a few free wins along the way and also hit a few more markets towards my monthly reards with Betfair.

I like both of these.

Undecided on the first one as after last weekend Found a Fifty is my biggest single winner at the festival. Which is nothing like my true view of things but I'm not laying any off at the prices as it would tie up too much money for little reward, so I'm stuck with it. Puts me off getting involved but the bet makes a lot of sense.

Going to have some of the second though, as good cheap cover to having neither onside.

….a trainers one or a BDA naming convention one that confuses us old folk;

Better Days Ahead (Bally) 50-1
Brighterdaysahead (MNH) 5-1

305-1.

Or 204/1 if BDA goes AB :barbershop_quartet_member:

…. Elliott’s stable tour comment;

’A nice young horse who Jamie Codd has always been a fan of. He worked very well the other day and he has the makings of a nice novice hurdler. I'd stay two and a half miles will be his trip. He stays well.‘

Saying that, 40-1 AB is certainly a consideration.
