In one of the stable tours- it was irish field but I’m on holiday so don’t have it in front of me.

unless it comes up really soft at cheltenham I wouldnt be suprised if they went 2 1/2, real shame hes such a fragile horse though
 
Townend was keen to push him out to the line. I think if Chacun is as good as they think he is, Cilaos is likely to be stepped up. But as we know, Chacun is fragile so this will certainly be an option left open for Cilaos right up to the festival

Mullins doesn't like running them against each other even if in different ownership. He'll try his best to split them. That said I think it is more probable that Chancun moves up to Ryanair in view of his KG entry.

What evidence do you have to back that claim up Lobos?

Different ownership there are LOADs of examples.


What he will do is split the pack to put the horses with the best chance....


You're assuming Chacun Pour Soi is number 1 and Cilaos Emery is number 2.

Where are Min, Un De Sceaux, Douvan, Duc Des Genivres

All grade 1 winning chasers....




Un De Sceaux and Min would EASILY beat Ornua - Cilaos Emery has to prove he's better than those yet before you start slotting Mullins' best chances anywhere?

Some of those mentioned may miss Cheltenham altogether. Will be difficult to shuffle that lot I agree but for me CE has a hell of a chance in the CC and is value compared to Chancun.
 
I'd like to think that Chacun's King George entry is a sign of how good they think he is.
Great horses can win tingle creek's then King George's then champion chases then Gold Cups.

Cilaos Emery could easily miss cheltenham too, hes as fragile as any of those named..

Yeah they may, but CE may miss Cheltenham.

Then again, as a direct comparison between the two, Chacun is fragile too and ultimately I can see why you'd back CE over CPS if you were starting now.



The impession I get is that they consider CPS to be better than CE - but they've been pretty adament Douvan is the best horse in training and we haven't seen that yet.


Stable vides are only worth so much, and it's a small factor for me.
 
While he's clearly useful, Cilaos Emery was entitled to do that in receipt of 11lb from 154 rated Ornua.
 
No chance anything that ran in the Arkle last year is winning this race based on that race.


A Plus Tard no chance of dropping back either (don't think anyone on hear has said that) but a podcast or program definitely said it!

might be getting an odds on shot or a viable opponent ?
Or a non runner obviously.
 
Such a shame CE didn't make it last March as he would have hosed up in that Arkle IMO

Given Santini’s sluggish performance, does that increase the chance of Altior going to the gold cup for Henderson? Chacun could go off very short....
 
Chacun / Altior double might appeal to some
