Mullins was saying it was good ground yesterday! However, below is from FranceGalop this morning which I think translates to soft(souple). I'm hoping the TR in front of it is not for Tres which would translate to very soft. If this is the case, the ground tomorrow will definitely be heavy.

Pr?cipitations: RISQUE DE PLUIE DE 1 ? 2 MM

I’ve had a 1 pt ew on Alenquer at 28/1. With the forecast rain likely to turn the race into a bit of a slog I can see him shorten quite a bit and get involved. He has form with both Goldophin horses and whilst my idea of the winner is Hurricane Lane (had 2pts at 7/1I can see him being a lot closer.

Its gonna be so hard for hurricane lane

Yes he won the leger easily but that doesn't mean he didn't he didnt have a hard race

I was in ladbrokes yesterday and luke Harvey said over the comms he was at Doncaster and the horse was very very tired after the race

It must mean good to soft as the ground definitely doesn't look heavy

Prix Chaudenay:
1 Manobo 7/10
2 Kemari 76/10
3 Tides of War 39/1
4 Interpretation 54/10

An Appleby 1,2. Manobo confirmed the promise of his 10l win over Kertez at Saint Cloud: Kertez last here beaten a similar distance. Kemari back to form over a distance he likes. Ground looks soft but not terrible.. Interpretation tried to make all, went a sensible pace but beaten by pacier horses. Appleby is the trainer with the best strike rate here!

Wildenstein:
1 Real World 17/10
2 The Revenant 2/1
3 Novemba 44/1
There seemed a delayed response when Rev's jockey asked him to make his challenge and he just missed out in the end. Might run well at Ascot. Another good run by .Real World . Will there be a rematch?

Cadran:
1 Trueshan 8/5
2 Stradivarius 3/1
3 Bubble Smart 16/1
4 Shazin 15/2
5 Princess Zoe 26/5

I'd wondered what Trueshan had beaten in his previous group wins but this was a strong field and I think all the first 5 ran solid races. But Trueshan was a clear deserved winner who clearly likes soft ground.. I thought Bubble Smart might have stolen the race going into the straight but the true stayers wore her down. I see no reason why Strad should retire based on this excellent run on less than ideal ground.

Royallieu
1 Loving Dream 78/10
2 Believe in Love 13/1
3 Valia 6/5
4 Joie de Soir 37/10

Another British trained winner!

Dollar:
1 Dubai Honour 5/2
2 Magny Cours 33/10
3 Dawn Intello 27/1
4 Third Realm 16/1

I wasn't too sure what Dubai Honour beat LTO but there is no doubting this good win. They were kicking up a lot of earth in this race: heavy going tomorrow

Acer Alley & Alenquer the standouts tomorrow for me

Absolutel cracker of an Arc this afternoon, just a shame the ground is going to be atrociously heavy. My AP horse Wonderful Tonight would have loved conditions but that's AP betting for you.

I've managed to amass just under 1pt in freebets on Tarnawa at averaged odds of just under 10s and have topped up on her today to also have some cash interest.

Despite the clean sweep of big races by British trained horses at Longchamp yesterday I prefer the local talent in the opening two 2-y-o Gp1s:

Marcel Boussac: Fleur D'Iris and Acer Alley; also Agartha (NR Raclette)

Jean-Luc Lagardere: Ancient Rome and Accakaba

Agree Acer Alley has a fantastic chance.

Gone for Fleur de iris and Ancient rome myself Supermaster .... Berneuil in the 4-25 ,... Grand Glory in the 3-50 ( frankie rides this one ).

They didn't seem to be going too quick but 2-y-os in heavy: and Agartha and Fleur d'Iris quickly folded - the winner had made a lot of ground when beaten by Fleur d'Iris LTO
Fabre looking well!

Ancient Rome and Accakaba tried to come from too far back in this one (different course). I'm not convinced this race will throw up too many classic winners.

With such great horses in the race it seems churlish to go against any of the leading fancies.

So I'm going for horses proven on the course, distance and ground: Hurricane Lane and Tarnawa with a slight edge for Tarnawa whose prep has been ideal

But with the focus on the big 4 I think there are some big prices here: Raabihah, Sealiway and Mojo Star. These seem overpriced to me.

So I guess that gives the race to Snowfall and Adayar! That Prix Vermeille run can be safely ignored.

Selection: Tarnawa
E/W Sealiway, Raabihah

Tarnawa beaten by the rag that lost to alpinista ffs

The look of absolute disbelief on the jockeys face as he crossed the line was likely mirrored by almost everyone watching id suggest

Gulp but no doubt that was uber alles!
Winner seems held by Alpinista but did beat the German Derby winner Sisfahan LTO but hard to see this winner on form
At least Tarnawa came out top of the fancied horses!
