National Hunt Chase (4 miler) 2019

The other way round for me. I probably shouldn't but iv took a punt.

Probably sums us both up,
he who dares, and he who thinks about it

Someone's probably mentioned him already but mall dini you'd have to mention too.

Before his 1st chase run of have been all over tower bridge as the perfect horse for this. So interesting to see how he progresses.

The markets wide open really as the top horses in the market are unlikely to go here.
I'd like Ibis du Rheu as well as a third season novice and previous festival winner ?
But if it runs well again at weekend I'd imagine they'd go for the RSA.
Can't remember last Nichols horse to run in this or what jockey he'd use

Will Biddick has always been the go to guy in these races for PFN.

Ibis du rheu is going for this. That's the plan.

I still think the world's end has a chance all be it he's a bit of a dog.

Will biddick Nicholls will use. Rode ms parfois last year as paul had nothing.

Rode Parfois last year. Assume he's pointing as not seen him for ages.

Might have Ibis loaded up when it runs at weekend as If it runs really well at donny or chelt then it's gonna be rated 150 plus, and has to be a contender, if the target is indeed this and they don't reroute then thats good enough for me.

Just listening to GE on Racing UK now and when asked about this race he mentioned Glenloe and Pallasator, Didn't even mentioned BBB.

He also said Delta Work would hold an entry but will probably go RSA

Which programme was this? I just watched This Racing Life with Elliot it wasn't mentioned.

Q,
Nichols has a shocking record in this race.

I know. I avoid a lo of his horses at the festival nowadays, aside from the foxhunters which he is clearly aiming at these days,

But he also gets good improvement in his chasers still and I can't dismiss his runners based on poor records in particular races.
You'd have a job on persuading me to back his novice hurdlers though, except for in the fred Winter and other handicaps possibly.
He looks like he's buying purely chasing types these days which is why he gets them to improve a fair bit from their hurdle marks and is competitive in handicaps.

Q,
I fancy he may have a better festival in 2019. Come to think of it he had 2 winners last fez and got chinned on the line for a 3rd winner.

He's a talented man no doubt.
Never forget 2016 when his horses Ibis du Rheu and Solar Impulse won last 2 races to deny Ireland an outright win in the the Prestbury Cup, I;d had 40pts at 5-2 with Coral. Still hurts, especially after Any Currency disqualified months later so history now shows Ireland 15-13 Now.
I'm not bitter:heart-borken:

I remember that well. I'd backed the Irish @6/4 :sorrow:

40 pts on a "novelty" bet.

Wouldn't bother putting the work into ante post punting if I was throwing points away like that :p

Glenloe surely chasing is a HUGE after thought?

They've stuck with hurdles for 3 years to win the Pertemps, he hasn't done it (unlucky sure), but still... it's only the Pertemps?

If he any scope wahtsoever to be a chaser, he'd have been chasing by now...?

It'll take some convincing, and I'd still think Jerrysback is more likely for Derek O'Connor to ride?

If you read the rp and the betfair stable tours, it will make sense of that, He thanks jp for his patience and looking forward to a staying chasing campaign.

Gordon's got codd, Lisa oneil, o Connor if he wants him for glenloe.

Patrick if I had to guess would be ballyward.

He's just putting a few other names out there to set up the BBB gamble :devilish:

He'd be more of a candidate for the Kim Muir would he not? He's only rated 142 over hurdles and it isn't like he has 7 lbs in hand with that or more?

I suppose it's very little risk and has potential to shorten but I'm surprised you've released your pennies on it.
