If he does go here ill back him NRNB when it come out. Im well aware he will be only around 7/1. But I wouldnt have the balls to take bigger without. Well done to the ones who have any race.
 
In fact. I'll put every PP free bet on him until the race. Then i dont care either way.

It really is. With the 4-miler in mind (I’m on any race 27s from ages ago but I want him here as I think he’d be perfect for it), today was a good run. Bit annoying that he didn’t win today for my bet on today’s race but at least he ran a nice enough trial for the NH Chase and is long odds-on to go there in March.

“for novice five yrs old and upwards, which prior to confirmation, have Started in a minimum of two steeple chases, at least one of which must be during the current season, and which have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a steeple chase with an official distance description of ‘two miles seven and a half furlongs’ or more, at any time during the horse’s career. Horses must also be allotted a rating of 120 or more by the BHA Head of Handicapping, following a review of the horses entered and taking account of races run up to and including the day prior to confirmation.“

Carefully Selected has run in one Chase, winning it, over 2M5F.

So no, he hasn’t qualified yet. One would imagine a 3M Chase is next on the agenda, to keep options open for this race.

It would seem at this stage a lot of horses near the top of the betting have either not yet qualified or have other more likely targets
Champagne classic looks very likely to come here,hopefully with jamie codd on board
 
The confirmation date for qualifying in the race conditions looks like it is 4th March, the 5-Day declaration stage.

There aren’t many races in January in Ireland to qualify for this in.

There is a 3M Beginners Chase mid-month but CS may not be able to race in that as a winner, I’m assuming Beginners Chases are for Horses that haven’t won a Chase.

The first race I can see over 3M for Novice Chasers is a Grade 3 in Naas on Sunday 26th January. He could run in that and qualify if finishing in the first four. Or find a race in the UK.

They might come over to warwick in a couple of weeks, that would show their intentions (if he comes over here that is)
If the ten up is abandoned they need a plan b.
 
Nice to see Early Doors declared for 3m1 tomorrow. Decent possibility he could rock up here with a popular jockey onboard.

Dickie Diver is the same price, but we don't even know if he's racing this year. Hendo didn't sound confident but didn't rule it out. The way i look at it is no matter what, Joseph will have a top jockey riding.

dickie has to get at least two runs in, and place in a 3 miler
 
Early Doors is a great shout.
Joseph is the best man in the world.
Festival winner at 33/1 is ridiculous anyway.
Unless he goes somewhere else :highly_amused:
