indeed. To be honest, I’m suprised I didn’t realise he was in the first one when doing aprils. A mistake on my part.
 
Am against The Nice Guy (2 previous Yankees he’s in), Brandy Love (might be retired) and Energumene (price looks way too short imo).

Do like the SG to the Turners suggestion

Marie's rock looks an extremely fair price at 8/1 having won both the two biggest 2m4f mares hurdles last season

She was trained by Willie she'd be 3/1

I think Dysart Dynamo is a good price for the Arkle and would have him over El Fabiolo at this moment in time. And personally I would have Billaway and Elimay in there as you know their targets and you also know that they will be aimed to be at their peak for that race and will more than likely win or go close. I know he's short, but I would have Enrgmeme in there as well. Don't want to many long shots or guesses, would rather have a more likely return - even if smaller.

with regard to mares, I expect that those going to the paddock will have been covered by now and we would’ve heard the news. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a bit of porn star redemption in the mares next year

I do Ista, I really thought it was going to make a big challenge at festival when fell. Have had a small play on echanges at bigger price.

Indeed - sticking with Mullins horses for this one folks so Marie’s Rock will have to wait for the June yankee (probably even July as I’m looking for another Gordon Yankee for June) - one that has actually done quite well in recent years as it goes.

Backed him yesterday, but can't help but feel I now have to back Stattler, as he covered him over 3m1f at Navan fairly comfortably, from memory.

Billaway doesn't really work for this because only two of the main bookies have a market for the Foxhunter. I also think there has to be sufficient doubt that the Arkle is where Dysart Dynamo will end up.

Elimay is a solid selection though, as is Energumene if a shorty is included.

Gaillard du Mesnil is an obvious choice given he has such a strong profile for the race.

I'd probably put Allaho in too, as like Energumene it's really the only way he's backable. Ot at least as an alternative to Energumene.

I'm against Elimay for the Mares Chase for next year. Think she ran below par but still won however with age and newcomers she could be dethroned. Only problem is we're not sure which hurdlers are going chasing just yet.
 
Brandy Love confirmed staying in training this year - would be interested in including her for the Mares Hurdle. A case of redemption next year after being ruled out on the day this year with a stone bruise?

Yep. She's a player all right. That makes two on the redemption trail then with Telmesomethinggirl looking all over the winner when getting brought down. At this point I'd have those 2 with Love Envoi and Marie's Rock as potential winners. Bloody difficult race !
 
….16-1 TMSG is only available with Hills but it could be worth getting on board at those odds (she was included in March bet @ 8-1). I also agree with the shouts for Brandy Love @ 8-1.

Perhaps worth bracketing the two for the Mares Hurdle in the final selection and let posters take their preferred option.

Agree with both of those two. I'd be tempted to throw Brandy Love in a slightly related Yankee with ADV for the mares chase, the open mares divisions were awful last season so I wouldn't be at all shocked to see the two best novice mares towards the top of the pile next season.

What's the chances of Brandy Love going for the Mares Chase given her PTP background and being a year older than a few other Mullins candidates like ADV?

I'd say it's unlikely. Go for the mares hurdle before attempting the mares chase as a novice. Mares hurdle has history and some good winners and much more valuable for her as a broodmare. Plus the risk is greater with chasing.
