MARTIN PIPE Conditionals Handicap Hurdle

With the usual British handicapper cautious view, does that put him around the 137 mark for Cheltenham?

Im happy with that and, crucially, is that likely to get him in?

See post #1.
Lowest rated horses in this race range 126-135 so I’d say it’s near certain he gets in…

Thanks Istabraq- okay so all depends on the British handicapper view then now?

Yeah, average is a few lbs I think... Elliott's average is probably higher.

As Ista said, wouldn't worry about him getting in at all.

Deploy The Getaway sea of blue - any comms anywhere or is this stable money?

Sorry, am I missing something with the routes mate? Neither ran in this race or the race Ash Tree Meadow ran in last time either.

Doens't take away from him but just wondering what I'm missing.

Won which novice hurdle?

Who which graded one?

The one Ash Tree Meadow ran in?

I thought I checked that, and they didn't? (Could 100% be wrong and not checking right now)

I think the culture of getting Mullins' and Elliott's horses onside is always a good strategy but I think when you look at Mullins' winners here, they all went on to be Grade One staying chasers and I just wonder if Deploy The Getaway, State Man fit that profile. For me, no and happy to pass on WPM's options. Elliott's winners tend to be limited handicappers whose peak appear to be this race. There's any number of horses he has like Chemical Energy, Ash Tree Meadow and they appeal much more than Mullins' in my view.

What do you think Deploy The Getaway will end up being out of interest?

I do like him for this race.

If I owned Galopin Des champs I’d have been looking down the back of the sofa trying to find the receipt this time last year :glee: Deploy the getaway perhaps marginally more exposed, but like GDC was it totally unexposed at the trip

Tricky one. Does look to have size but I recall WPM mentioning Supreme for him! 7yo though and he's not one to trust as I'd be thinking he's a fragile sort or difficult to train.

Champagne won a 2m6f maiden hurdle at this meeting in 2017 , then went to the graded Purcell ..obviously the distance has changed which i missed but still is still notable in the conversation about Elliot . Road to Respect won it previously..This seems to be the Ashtree Meadow race obviously with the change in conditons -no longer a maiden hurdle.

Blow by Blow didnt run at last weeks meeting and ran in the Michael Purcell -

Eric Bloodaxe now priced up for here, which I've backed accordingly, as per my diary entry.

Joseph has run a couple of well handicapped horses in the AB before.... but I will also take 16s NRNB :eek-new:

Morning all, been a viewer of the site for the last 2/3 seasons... now thought i'd make the plunge to become a fully fledged member...

My first post!

Right.... the one i've lumped on to in this is FAROUT for Willie, He has a similar profile to GDC from last year in how he's ran over 2m all season in top races but not pulled up any trees. I have a sneaky feeling this is the one!

Welcome.

Great first shout.

He's been on my radar for a couple of months for this race.

Waiting to see if he's entered for it on Handicap Entries Day on Tuesday.
