Marsh Novices Chase 2020 (was JLT)

...reaction to Fanion Destruval’s win today saw it cut to 16-1 with Bet365 for this (they go 20-1 Arkle). Paddy Power on the other hand are 50-1 for this and only 16-1 Arkle.

Surely with the hill and how good he was over today’s distance (closest to standard of the day) he surely goes Arkle?! I think the Arkle could end up being a much weaker race too.

I took 33/1 with PP due to a blip on their website app 5 mins after the race. They had 2 prices listed Fanion Destruval at 16s and Fanion d'Estruval at 33s. Someone will be getting a bollocking.

Just after the race I managed to nab 50s with PP for the Arkle. Stupid me waiting, as I had him to win the race today, and forgot to get the bet in during running. I couldn’t believe it wasn’t suspended or cut when I got on.

Hills, Lads, Coral 5-Day Decs for 2M4F Drinmore Chase on Sunday.

Best Prices

6/4 Samcro
5/2 Fakir D'Oudairies
11/2 Ronald Pump (paid Supplementary fee)
6/1 Battleoverdoyen
7/1 Champagne Classic
8/1 Burrows Saint
16/1 Chef Des Obeaux
25/1 Ex Patriot
33/1 Tintangle

There is absolutely no way anyone can make a case for a horse being a good bet in that race :highly_amused:
Certainly not each way, as all of them have a place chance.

I am going to have so many tabs open during that race.

I want Fakir to be leading but fade away due to stamina,

BOD and CC to be outpaced but stay on strongly.

all with Samcro making Roland Pump look bang average (unless I back RP between now and Sunday) :very_drunk:

They don't run Kev :very_drunk:

:highly_amused: Procrastinating from studying tomorrows racing so just messing around on here instead.

Just imagine I'd said it at the time :p

Interesting that Roland Pump is still a very similar price and Burrows Saint too, although without the 3 places.

The 365 extra places will be generous on the morning I'd imagine... especially for those 2.

Definitely don't want Fakir D'oudaries beating Samcro over 2m4f. That won't be good for me at all.

Given she ran over 2m4 i'll stick this in here.

Rowlands said re Laurina + Indo race:

"They ran pretty fast against clock, as well, with Laurina 2.5Ls (at least 10Ls) quicker than Getabird was in the Carlow Chase"

"Timefigure of 145 with mares allowance underlines what a potent force she should be in this sphere, while Indo was nearly as promising running to 144".

Positive re Laurina for here + Arkle.

Positive for Indo in the RSA presumably.

But , on the other hand <" I've" only backed Fakir for the J.l.t ...Because of Trainer comment's....so :)

I definitely think he'll be better over the middle distance trip...with the 8pds he's very dangerous.

You'd have to hope Samcro is more than 8lbs better than Fakir D'oudaries though.

If he's as good as horse as he all thought in his Ballymore season, he's got to be giving him a beating.

The Melon camp weren't scared of Samcro when they both fell in that race after Cheltenham. The quotes at the time were something like 'no horse should be odds on against Melon' - it's always stuck with me.

Although proven to be false in hindsight :highly_amused:

Was it not 'no horse should be odds on against Sharjah'

I imagine they've said it a few times.

I do remember Patrick Mullins saying that too.

It is a decent quote :highly_amused:

No horse should be odds on against Saint Calvados.

That's true if Samcro is all that of course. 8pds means to me he has to be very much all that.

Fakir probably capable of running to high 140s at least?

Yeah and I'm sure they're striking while the iron is hot in temrs of getting him out while its still 8lbs.

I stil lhope Samcro beats him though.... I want him to be a superstar like he was before they wasted a season :devilish:

Fakir D'oudairies seems to be shortening for tomorrow and for JLT. In to 12s from 20s this morning with PP
