Marsh Novices Chase 2020 (was JLT)

Tornado Flyer cut to 14s for the JLT after that win today. They're still 25s for the Arkle.

365 are still 33/1 for Tornado Flyer for the JLT. That's big.

Hes not good enough for any festival grade 1 is he?

Nope. But if he was it would be a step up in trip, which I thought was pretty obvious just from his bumper days tbh

Yep, that would be my opinion too at this stage.
but he's W P Mullins trained.
He might run well in a weak grade 1, so if any of the festival races break apart ??

I wont be backing him myself. But I can see if some people wanted to back to lay or whatever for the JLT.

No probably not if one of the big dogs turned up.

I don't think he'd be scared of horses like Nube Negra, Al Dancer or Reserve Tank though - and they'll all been loads shorter in price for whichever race.

He keeps winning... might have loads left in the tank.
Might be better with a step up.

How many horses have we seen that are loads better so far for the JLT?

Fakir, Laurina, Samcro, Melon?

1st 3. Plus Angel's breath.

I dont see any reason to back him. But if your building a big book and want all the likely runners, then he's 1 of them.

365 have Sam Spinner at 25/1 in the JLT market and Battleoverdoyen.
Pic D'orhy is shorter that TF too.
Klassical Dream is 25/1 :highly_amused:

If they were in a match and SS was shorter than TFlyer I would have the biggest bet in the history of all sport on TF to beat him.

:highly_amused: 33/1 is just too big IMO

I’ve only ever been interested in him for the JLT and that’s probably a stretch.

Totally agree.....has festival form too.......may not be as easy on eye as many, but improving and we don’t yet know how good he is. JLT could easily fall apart and 33s look a silly price

He was always going to be a class horse. Willie [Mullins] said 'just keep you powder dry early on'. For a race of that class they probably didn't go that much of a gallop for the first half mile and he was caught a little bit flat footed off the hill. Once I got him balanced down to the last, I knew he'd have a good jump in him and he put it to bed nicely. For a race that wasn't run at break-neck speed, I thought it was a good performance over two miles and one furlong - you wouldn't have to say he'll go further but it will be an option. He's got a bit of class and over fences there could be more to come at that trip, and he can step up also. Most of these horses have either come from France or been point-to-pointers and have huge experience jumping, whereas this lad went straight into a bumper. He's going to be improving all the time and has got the engine, which is the main thing - Danny Mullins, rider of Tornado Flyer

Pleasing to read that. Will make some money off this horse one way or another.

I'm amazed Windsor Avenue isn't clear fav to beat Sam Spinner over 2m4f on Saturday.

Very tempted to add Windsor Avenue at 25/1 for the JLT before he runs though as they're billing it as a bit of a clash and I can only see it going one way!

Sam Spinner is also 25/1 for the JLT and no way he is quick enough to run in it.

I know some people definitely have talked him up before I have (I was hoping he snook into the Close Brothers :highly_amused:) but he's going to look a leading UK contender after 2:10 on Saturday?!

Windsor Avenue is 33s RSA with WH but only 16s with 365 .... best check his any race price too...

16/1 any race... :/
