Mares Hurdle 2019

From Declan Phelan's weekend update...

I managed to have a chat this week with the girl who tends to Benie Des Dieux: the mare
has not been seen in action since the Punchestown festival last April: the news is that she is
in super shape and may go straight to the festival without a run to defend the OLGB Mares
race.

Thanks qzy

Nice to see it written down

Ive heard she is in VERY good form, expect her to go off oddson

What have I missed here?!

Potential vs Form - Potential wins very easily.

Laurina is just brilliant. Stormy Ireland ran a cracker and provided Apples Jade & Laurina both go Champion Hurdle as has been said then I am still very happy with my bet on her for this race :)

You saw that as CH form CoD ?
I thought the proximity of the pack suggested it was no more than a satisfactory effort, I’d be surprised if they go anywhere other than Mares with Laurina

I wouldn't have either in the CH myself, I've said this before. BUT Laurina has now beat a fair horse in SI there giving her 6lbs. I love the pair of them, think they are both extremely good horse in their own rights. I would have Laurina in the Mares too myself, struggle to see it now.

Think its worth saying as well that SI wasnt exactly ridden aggressively and could of put far more distance between her and the placed horses, clearly they didnt want either Mullins horse to have a hard race. SI looks a real player in the mares.

Especially as it is going to be between BDD & SI. 8/1 for a horse we know is in good nick or 7/4 for a horse who has been off over 300+ days whose trainers word is the only thing we have to go on, I know which I prefer :)

Stormy Ireland gets nowhere near Benie over 2m4f. Not a bad ew bet but better to go place only or without Benie on the day.

Is that on what you've heard Archie, or just your personal opinion? By all accounts BDD is showing plenty at home.

Just personal opinion and what they were saying about Benie a year ago.

You get the feeling that BDD is the Closutton banker.

Roksana has similar RPRs to SI and poss more progressive.....double price for EW bet

Dont think will beat BDD, but is my smaller alternative......plus Missy Tata interesting if goes
