Kim Muir 2019

Haha, I don't think you need to worry about that JM.

You have a good reputation on here in my opinion.

I can’t keep up with the forum at the moment. The sheer volume of posts over the last week or so must have tripled and we don’t even have Scooby here anymore!

He's been well discovered on plenty of podcasts already - but f the news of the jockey booking comes out he'll shorten again.

The main 'issue' was whether the Kim Muir was the plot, or whether it was the race at Ludlow.... so if you're right, things look good for the Thursday!

Oh, without doubt the Ludlow race was a proper plot and lots were taken out of the ring but they think he is at least a 150 horse so the Kim Muir, under his current rating, is well within his compass.

Haha, it's (unsurprisingly) the busiest week/weekend of the year!

WIll be busy tomorrow with people's Tuesday selections I'd have thought

Seems to be more posters in the last few weeks which has also inflated the volume too

Yeh very true. Think regs are mindful that the usual analysis/scrutiny/conversation surrounding horses and their chances doesn't happen as much for these few days

I've had a big bet on him with B365. If Derek isn't booked I'll be able to get out with nothing lost.

It'd be a strange horse for him to ride but then the whole story with the horse is a bit odd and has the look of a major plot.

Just for Clarity .... I first Mentioned Kilfilum cross on page 136 - Antepost thread #1355.
Should it win and there's Bragging right's !!. :highly_amused:.

I'll be surprised if O'connor rides Kilfilum.

You've done well to track that post down BC :highly_amused:

What do you think he will be on if not?

Must be some juice somewhere...

I'd reckon one of the Mcmanus horses, but looks like they may be waiting on which one.
Could be wrong but doubt very much he'd have commited to the Kilfilum horse so far out.

He has committed to KC.

He has committed to KC.

Yep, he commited to Native River as well, unfaithful lad old Derek.
I'm not doubting your word mate, just would be unusual to commit to a horse from a small yard so far out, when he often rides for JP.
And it's not been publicly announced either.

I hear where you are coming from and respect that but I have spoken to David Crosse personally and he assured me that DO is taking the ride and he was well pissed off with it as he thought it was his ride in another of the handicaps. Just giving people heads up as when it is announced publicly we all know what will happen to the price. The trainer says he is a 150 horse so that should be enough for punters to take the horses chances very seriously but when O'Connor is announced he will nearly be fav.

I’m not on social media (pre-digital age) but this post is on Henry Oliver’s Twitter if anyone is able to log in and see the response - wouldn’t it be unusual for them to re-tweet if there was nothing in it - sorry not Twitter savvy!

Hi Henry - have you made a call on whether Kilfilum Cross will go for the Kim Muir? If so, have you managed to bag Mr O’Connor to do the steering again?

Is Speaker Connolly confirmed for this? Stable in cracking form. Just heard interview with Gary O'Brien but he didn't ask, not sure if he asked earlier in the day? If he didn't he should have done.

DOC will ride No Comnent imo - JP does well in these races but has an average (doesn’t meet expectations) record in G1s other than the Champion Hurdle. AP had blank years and averaged one per season at festival for the boss. I’ll be backing No Comment.

I think the trainer did mention he goes Kim muir....it was in an interview just before one the races.
