Kim Muir 2019

....Testify was fancied for decent races in recent years but has been poor for a while, i’ve backed it in the past and will have to have an interest if it turns up here. McCain certainly has a decent record in the race. 33-1 nrnb.

I think this is worth remembering

‘David Crosse said Kilfilum Cross (a horse he has ridden) is a 150 horse and gets in the Kim Muir off 139 so has loads in hand‘

This horse was ridden by Derek O’Connor LTO, Henry Oliver’s horses are flying at the minute & David Crosse should know, not only has he ridden the horse before but he’s just started back after injury & is riding for Henry Oliver.

I’m sure O’Connor will get called on by JP but it’ll be interesting to see who they get?

What do we think the chances of Sky Pirate getting in? No. 36 currently.

Worth listening to the Racing Post Podcast Stormez. Frank Hickey put him up as his bet off the festival and made a very convicting case. Sold it to me and took the 16/1.

Just been listening to the On The Hunt Day 3 pod & one of the guys on there put him up too, but did make a point of saying it was touch & go whether he got in.

Has to go off single figures doesn't it.

Risky without Patrick on board though? Livelovelaugh would be his ride ?

Jonjo will be able to get a decent jockey, even if Patrick can't do it.

Who would be 2nd choice after Patrick? And I’m still not convinced he’s going to get in.

I'd say he's a certainty to get in.

Not sure who he'd have lined up but it wouldn't surprise me if he had a top Irish amateur in the saddle.

I have spoken personally with David Crosse at Wincanton and he has confirmed that Derek O'Connor will be riding KC.

Yes, at the last Wincanton meeting.

Absolutely. Dave was not happy at all as he hoped to be riding him in one of the other handicaps. He's been properly laid out for this race. Myself and my mates are all on it at big prices but help yourselves now !!

He's been well discovered on plenty of podcasts already - but f the news of the jockey booking comes out he'll shorten again.

The main 'issue' was whether the Kim Muir was the plot, or whether it was the race at Ludlow.... so if you're right, things look good for the Thursday!

I've had a big bet on him with B365. If Derek isn't booked I'll be able to get out with nothing lost.

It'd be a strange horse for him to ride but then the whole story with the horse is a bit odd and has the look of a major plot.

Yeah, a sensible play.

He's been hard to ignore since Delargy rambled on about him...

Can I be really dumb and ask who ‘Delargy’ is?

Rory delargy (Irish field, matchbook, final furlong etc) a fantastic judge in my opinion

Ah I’m not much of a podcast person as the FFP turned me off last season as I found them both insufferable. Blake is much better when he’s on TV as the other chap grates on me.

I have a feeling my post on Kilifum Cross will look like plagiarism though :grumpy:

Haha, I don't think you need to worry about that JM.

You have a good reputation on here in my opinion.
