Albert Bartlett 2019

Everyone’s favourite bumper horse from last year Stay Humble is out today at Thurles in a 2m7 race.

Hoping to make it 2 from 3

Carefully Selected (Mullins in the RP today)

I think this fella needs a trip so the 2m4 maiden hurdle at Leopardstown on Saturday would look the ideal race for him. The further he goes the better he'll be

Positive.... although 3 miles sounds more ideal if I was being pedantic :p

“The further he goes the better he'll be.”

Music to my ears that. Cheers Jono!

From the One jump ahead update , Tom Lacey is quoted as saying "Kateson might have an entry for the Challow hurdle on the 29th of Dec but i can at times be a season ending race so he might end up up in the 2and a half mile hcap on the same card and try to Exploit his mark of 141. He's bred to stay further and the dream would be the Albert Bartlett in March with him but he needs soft ground".

Dunvegan trained by P.Fahy looked very decent at Fairyhouse 2.4m maiden hurdle. I was very taken with his hurdling and the way he galloped was quite impressive. W.Mullins enthused about the horse.
Dunvegan may well take the Ballymore route, he could be very competitive in either race Imo. 25s looks about the best price, but with very few making a market in this horse I'll hold fire for now.

Backed Derrinross, 50-1 PP
Won that quite well giving 10lb to Mullins horse who didn't get a run.
Not a bad race, in it's infancy for pointing towards the Bartlett

Carefully Selected entered up for another 2m 4f maiden on new years day at Firehouse, although given the dry forecast i can't see him being declared with the going already good to yielding.

Desperate to see him & Blackbow jump a hurdle at this stage!

Anyone think Champ could come here? Or too 'classy' to run in something like the AB?

JP has an absolute mountain of potential Supreme/Ballymore contenders and does like a horse in this race, Champ has the profile (compared with JP's other potentials) for this race.

He pulls like an absolute tank, so I'd fear he may well burn himself out over 3m, but should they manage to settle him he would be the 'class act' in the field. He is not priced up, so once NRNB come into play (tomorrow) I may well request a price.

Seen some mention the Stayer's but see no reason why they would pass over the AB for the Stayer's tbh, age is not a negative for him, as 6 of the 14 winners have been 7 or above, so no rush either.

I think Jarveys Plate should come here now, he wasn't stopping at Cheltenham and looks every inch a 3 mile chaser in the making. He definitely improved for the step up in trip and his jumping was very good.

Probably end up Ballymore though which looks far more competitive.

Has anyone ever been rejected by Betfair to add a horse to the exchange before?

Annamix for the 2020 Supreme?

:highly_amused::highly_amused:

Champ for this. Admittedly it is a bit of a flyer, but one I'd be happy to have a go at should someone manage to offer a nice enough price.

Why do you think they'd run Champ here CoD ?

May look an easier race?

As per post #234 Kev.

Not a definite but wondering what price I can get on the exchanges. Bet365 are 10/1 but ante post applies, want a NRNB on him, but SkyBet only go 5's which isn't enough for me.
