July ‘26 Yankee courtesy of @Runragged

….so, looking at suggestions for the ‘4th selection’;

KDB 9/2 CC
Jango 7-1 GC (8s Hills)
Mydaddypaddy 14-1 CH
F2F 6-1 Ry
Jukebox 12-1 Ry

After the Supreme i thought Skelton said he was looking forward to taking on the winner next year in the Arkle?

Doesn't mean that they should be backed (again) but I have an absolute rule not to oppose certain horses before they have had a first run of the season. Old Park Star and Fact To File come in that category.

I've said it before but, for me, these yankees are not for creating a book on a particular race. It's the surest way of getting 4 winners over 4 different yankees.

The final selection is, of course, purely down to the individual in charge.

This is the thing. There is the potential that Act Of Innocence is out early over fences and if taking to the new discipline well then Old Park Star may stick to hurdles. Trying to second guess Henderson is very risky! Could also say the same about Mullins as would never of said Fact To File would be pulled on account of the ground. I get your point though with the likes of Lossiemouth and Gaelic Warrior who are strong candidates to retain their title. For me though, it is about striking a balance. If we included the pair in every bet and one was ruled out then it is a lot of bets affected. There is then the missed opportunity as well that those prominent in the betting will never be as big a price again, especially as bookmakers are reluctant to push a horse out in price (Or at least hold the price for long before bringing it back in). Stronger horses in more bets but no harm in spreading some of that risk in the aim of hitting the bullseye.

I'd likely be all over The Jukebox Man if he turned up in a Ryanair but I'd think there's very little chance of it happening. Harry Redknapp in the game for the love of it isn't he. Think he'd always be looking towards the Gold Cup.

Not even chances the single but couldn't entertain it in a Yankee being such an unlikely runner imo.

Jango, KDB and Mydaddypaddy are all solid enough shouts.

Ok, I think we have enough consensus for our fourth horse in Kopek Des Bordes in the Champion Chase so we can go ahead with the bet, centred around the form of last season's Turners Novice Hurdle.

Arkle - Act Of Innocence (20/1)
BANC - Bossman Jack (14/1)
Champion Chase - Kopek Des Bordes (9/2)
Stayers - Zeus Power (14/1)

Prices courtesy of Bet365 who have the best odds with the acca paying 25986/1!

Nice work, I'm liking this one.

….cheers, Matey, fine effort. I’ll put mine on, update the main thread and set up the August discussion later.
