Lovely to see from DDS and a form boost to Lalor. Black Op I'd give another chance and Topofthegame had it all to do after the start. White Moon bitterly dissapointing.
That JLT oddschecker grid makes me dizzy. Hard to believe Vinndication is still 33/1 for this.
I can easily see DDS being involved in a race that probably will very likely cut up. The 2m was just too short for him, that was my main angle on him, being able to put a line through that first run. He clearly still has the engine as he was full of running today and for the most part his jumping was pretty solid.
Can't believe Ladbrokes are still 14's and can get that boosted too. We've been waiting on a market leader for this race, and we now have one.
Never really been a fan of Defi Du Seuil, but nothing to knock about his win today. I was expecting him to be single figures. I see some bookies have taken a strong view that Topofthegame was the 'moral winner' and have made him fav. Fully expecting him to go up in trip though, so you'd be counting on a defeat for him to drop back.
I'm tempted to add DDS at 14/1 as he won't be coming down in trip, and I wouldn't think they'd try him up in trip too quickly looking at that division.
Yeah, you're close to convincing me.
Did they mention a next target? I have a niggle that he'll find one too good, and I don't want to back myself into a corner to make a book in this race when it's going to be very muddy waters for a long time...
Yeah being Ladbrokes it means no cash out which is the danger. I was just waiting for him to step up in trip chasing. He had an extremely hard, long juvenile season and expected a low key following season, which it was.
I found it surprising he was given a hurdles run over 2m 3f when he finished down the field but suspected that would be a sighter, along with the seasonal debut in the race Lalor won at a trip too short.
I actually think that race today was harder than the race against Lalor but he had more time for his jumping and obviously he had come on for that seasonal debut too.
I don't see him going up too much in trip this season and he has festival form, he ticks boxes for me.
And if we take Scooby's earlier musings about Cilaos Emery being the highest rated hurdler going chasing, DDS at peak was a 155 winning novice hurdler, rated 157 after, but failed to win since, and puts him ahead of CE.
