J.L.T Novices Chase 2019

Paul Kealy made some interesting points on the Triumph/JLT ante postcast...

To paraphrase.... DDS and LiT are both alright, but only a couple of lbs better (RPRs) than other definite runners that are 20/1+.

His two being Kildisart (RPR 154) and Spiritofthegames (RPR 154) - DDS (156) LiT (155)

If you followed RPR's you'd be all over that... as the prices are way off.

Think his point about the majority at the head of the betting, which plenty of people on here have stated on here too, won't even make the race and that this particular market is very favourable to the punter. Plenty of juicy e/way prices to be had that's for sure.

Oh and Voix Du Reve has an RPR of 151, only 5lbs to find which won't be too hard once he gets his trip :devilish::highly_amused:

Is A Plus Tard worth another go at 40/1 NRNB?

I had 25s and cashed out after Winter Escape gave him 15 stone and a 2L beating.... but he's a potential shortener?

Yeah I know, that's what I've said...? :highly_amused: "...only a couple of lbs better than other definite runners"

Bar the Voix Du reve nonsense :p I didn't say that... Pravalaguna and Real Steel both ahead of your donkey now :devilish: - joking aside, yes, VDR would fall into the same catergory.

I'm searching for others now.

Fortunately on Kildisart at 33/1 NRNB, which I think someone else put up bt it could have been me

Apologies, probably read it a little different as only saw you mention the PK fancies.

I only jest bringing up VDR, I'm coming to the conclusion the horse probably won't even turn up now tbh. Has to be a fair negative to come to such a festival after a fall also. Luckily for me Bet365 have allowed me to cash out bets and replace as NRNB :highly_amused:

Kildisart is not a deffinate runner. I saw he was being left for Aintree yesterday

******
Kildisart was raised 6lbs for his victory on Festival Trials Day

He won a handicap chase at Cheltenham on Trials Day off a rating of 141 and we always knew there was the potential for him to go up more 4lb and miss out on the handicaps at the Festival.

He is now rated 147 and I think he is a horse who only does as much as he needs to. We are not sure which race he will run in now, but he could run in the Pendil Novices’ Chase at Kempton on February 23 before heading to Aintree.

Shattered Love / Terrefort first second last year 3/1. 4/1
Small field
Can see similar this year.
Nothing wrong with backing savers at decent ew prices
IMO

Kildisart is NRNB anyway, he's not one I'd actually fancy but was a smart bet at the time, the way I like to approach races I have no strong opinion in....

Compeltely agree Humble Pie.... I'm looking for them :)

don't forget Camelia.

good question, he's threatened it loads of times but can't think of one off top of me head.

Yeah, that was my thought after Kev mentioned Camelia. He's had the horse's to do it I think, so just wondered if he had ever sent one, as I honestly have no idea.

Was before Vroum Vroum Mag - Faugheen ensured that with his injury (via Annie re-locating)

Didn't stop me backing Benie Des Dieux in the Ryanair last year...

Camilia and Pravalaguna gives us the biggest chance in a long time

I get the feeling it may be Ricci not wanting his mares to run in chases at the festival, rather than WPM.

Maybe Pravalaguna will be one to go there.

I've taken a complete flyer on Riders Onthe Storm in this at 100/1 ew NRNB.

He hasn't got a hope in hell on the ratings, but with the race predicted to cut up, he could run into a place.....possibly. He beat Impact Factor comfortably yesterday and only has a JLT entry so it'll be this or a handicap.

As I say, a complete flyer at massive odds.

If you took out the 4 horses ahead of Champagne Classic in the betting for this race that are seemingly likely to go elsewhere we now have CC as 3rd favourite for it (based on biggest price available), so whoever stuck him on here @ 40's, nice one :)

Obviously still need him to make the race anyhow but he is more likely than a few ahead of him it would seem.

Me too. I was listening to his race at the DRF and thought he sounded very promising but didn’t for one minute associate him with the JLT so thank you whoever put the 40’s up as I’ve backed him e/w and he is now 16’s on last check

Oli Bell put him up for this on Saturday, didn't give the forum one mention though!

We know where you got it from Oli :highly_amused:

Running In the race will be key. To see whether it's a good bet or a value NR

I'm claiming it if he runs. Delsie can claim it if a non runner :highly_amused:
