Just watched Road to Cheltenham and all was going well until Josh Stacey came back into the studio.

Then it went all Lord of the Rings. :ROFLMAO:
couldn't concentrate after that.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but interesting that Harry Cobden is on Saint Sam for Willie tomorrow at Huntingdon. Not one I'll be backing tomorrow but just find it interesting Cobden is getting some rides for him at the moment.

Patrick is there as well riding in the bumper, so not like they didn't have the option. Is there something in limiting his rides before the festival due to being an amateur?

Maybe Willie has his eye on Harry for when Paul Townend retires?

Especially as Paul Nichols star appears to be waning and Paul Townend is 36……can’t be that many years left for PT

Patrick is also 36 and may do the in thing at the moment and be a joint trainer with Willie?……and in turn stop riding?

Would seem a good strategy to lay relationship foundations with Harry who is only 26 and IMO the best jockey in Britain

Apologies for being completely off topic for the Cheltenham forum…

But lesson learned about using “britbet” on course tonight! Playing little exactas / trifectas at Central Park dogs tonight (first time to a dog track since Catford closed), and got the exacta for £2.50 and trifecta for £1 in the last race - with SPs of 15/2, 16/1 and 7/2.

Sportinglife advertised forecast paid £87.53 and tricast £257.39 - my total return from “Britbet” was less than £140 🤮

Convenient betting at table, but small pools clearly different from the national Tote pools…

Won’t be using them again!

A fair few bubbles deflated slightly this weekend and a few have enhanced their reputation. It's hotting up.

Any one good any fancies for winning the king George ? Be hard to beat Gaelic warrior tbh, think he's different gravy to these.

Jango Baie and Jukebox Man 25/1 each way on both, Il Est Francais 40/1 Ew and Heart Wood 66/1 each way. Racing Blogger asked the same question on twitter yesterday and I replied with the same comment. I hope Gaelic Warrior stays at home

I'd played Kolokico 3figs on Bfx but Charly Milpied saying unlikely runner however was interesting that he's been left in the latest stage still.

Also had few daft pennies on Firefox on Bfx at mid 600s as every horse has a price :ROFLMAO: Was again interesting Bective took FAF out but they've left him in, so maybe tempted to try him at 3miles round Kempton

I would have thought last years winner at least warrants a mention....
The race will be run to suit but is praying it's good ground (most likely to be soft) and last year's race was a weak one....could pick up a place though

Feel like him being out has as much to do with Paul going to Kempton as it does an actual setback!

Makes things a while lot easier for Gordon now if he sees Romeo as an Arkle horse

A Floating chip in his knee, ok he's had a problem for them to even be looking, they'd have had a proper look to find a chip so it was clearly bothering him, recovery time around 6 weeks to 2 months from that operation, FWIW missus worked for NEH in Newmarket for a good while & she'd look after horses after operations & also be in the room for lots of treatments hence me having a clue about these things.

Probably should be in 'Novice Chasers' but most of Willie's good 2m novice chasers go beginners/DRF/Arkle so, as long as he turns up in February, I wouldn't be looking elsewhere just yet.

Just took the dog for a quick spin, and thinking about it, this might explain that Punchestown run, quicker ground than he'd like would aggravate his legs/joints, end of season even if he was a bit sore in the following days they would'vejust put it down to the ground and turned him out.
Comes back in fine but after training,a run and some more training his rider might've said he's not moving right, bit of heat in the area, if its all done he'll be grand and really it's better it's done now than it causing an issue nearer the springtime.
