Unless I'm wrong the handicapper just doubles the French mark.

So if they are rated 60 in France it'll be 120 in the UK.

At Worcester Races today for a day out in the Sun. Anyone have any solid fancies ??
 
This is something I hadn’t considered, race conditions being changed!!
yeah, it’s rare but would have thought such changes would be made shortly after the previous season

I haven’t backed Ballyburn, but was strong on him turning up for the Turners, but I have back IEP for the arkle thinking Ballyburn would go middle distance - oh well

i do think this is a positive move though, and should be a more interesting better race

It is ridiculous really. Any changes should've been for 2026 so bets weren't affected.

Brilliant. Happy with both changes

The NHC needs tweaking as well can’t have it pulling top horses from the BANC field.

Would leave the Supreme and Gallagher as is. I think having distance options for young horses works fine

fine with novices in handicaps too - I think it adds a layer

Icy the weasel has tweeted saying NHC will be scapped and turned into a hcap too..
 
What a mess. So not only will we probably never see our Antepost money again we have to go through a season of looking for handicap plots for the Turners.
 
Woeful decision.

These changes need suspending until 2026 or there should have been an announcement stipulating changes to specific races way back after the last festival.

I really like the Turners, but now we get to watch Willie send 5 to the Arkle and 5 to the BANC, terrific.
 
Prices being slashed all over the shop in the BANC and Arkle. I suppose it could end up in our favour if you have got a position early enough. I have horses in both races now being cut and if there is a refund on the Turners bets that could be re-invested in the ones you have been thinking about for the two races but it's still a farce. I might just use the refunds (if they are coming) to finish off my breeders cup bets. I was pretty heavily invested in Impaire Et Passe at 25/1 too :apologetic: Backed it the Saturday after Cheltenham.
