Doing Fine is suddenly jumping out at me here now. Milz will be able to claim on this aswell wont she ? Ground wil be going right come thursday aswell.

Looks interesting for a place so waiting for the place markets to open. I don't think it will win so wouldn't waste the win part of the each way bet.

Time To Get Up is in the Midlands National. Anyone who's backed him for this should be worried.

Double prize money, maybe softer ground, and at the bottom of the weights - I think the Midlands National is a very viable alternative for him and Deise Aba..
 
I think Morning Vicar is overpriced here at 20/1. I usually like to back horses that are proven over longer trips but I think he's worth chancing at the price.

His first run of the season when he gave 7lb to Demachine (now rated 142) is very strong form with 9 horses in the race winning this season. Runs well after a break. He might struggle up the hill but it doesn't look a very strong race with lots of exposed horses and he's one that could still be improving.

I do do like Hold The Note as well and he's likely to go off favourite if Time To Get Up goes for the Midlands National. I always find that one of the most depressing races of the year!

Been back through this tonight (no chance of sleeping) knowing I’d missed Time To Get Up previously.

Still have no idea why he’s a point and a half shorter than anyone else in the field and one of only two horses at single figure prices.

I mean I know the whole race is looking pretty poor but this horse should be halfway down the field. Is the only reason for the love due to a combination of trainer and owner? Jeez that’s a very big leap from known form to plot horse?

None of the last six had won that season
15 from the last 16 aged between 7 to 9 years
11 of the last 15 achieved their best RPR within their last two runs, three of the exceptions were JP owned and returned at less than 9/1.


The Mighty Don did win at the start of the season but he's only 1 lbs higher, so decided to keep him in. However, he's pulled up since
Milanford is a unexposed horse alright. Worried about the step up and running in a bigger field

Hold The Note looks to tick a lot of the trends, he ran his best RPR last time out, 12 lbs better than his previous after a wind op. Course form. Could be another Simply The Betts where his form could be confirmed on the Tuesday with Next Destination and Happygolucky

You need to watch his first two chases GS. He's a blatant non-trier being manipulated for a very generous handicap mark. And the handicapper has obliged. If he turns up I'll be surprised if he doesn't win doing cartwheels.

Maybe he can win me back some of the fortunes he has lost me over the years :welcoming:
