Fulke Walwyn KIM MUIR Challenge Cup Amateur Riders Handicap

Started making a shortlist for this when RWF was mentioned as being a possibility as staying at home back a month ago rather than the Kim Muir.

Shantou Flyer and Plan of Attack were the two on the list not backed to go with RWF who I had backed. Very much wish I’d have played them but they’re both double figures still and I may have a small play. Think Plan Of Attack was unlucky last year (maybe pocket talking) and could go better this time around. Shantou Flyer has a good festival record and is arguably the class horse in the race.

Will go through the whole thing from scratch affectively tonight.

I'm gonna wait until the actual 48 hours now for this race.

It's obvious (to me) there is no standout well handicapped horse (which was Run Wild Fred) so no rush to get invovled 'now'.

Of course, I'm already invested and made 2 rash bets earlier.... so what I'm saying is more hypothetical than practical :miserable:

I’ve spent the last three hours going through the and I can’t say I’m any closer to having one I want to bet right now. Think if Achille was carrying a couple of pounds less, I’d be keen on him. If they got a claimer on him, I’d give him a run at a huge price.
.

Older horses have a decent record at placing but not winning in this race over the past 5 years which makes Shantou Flyer and Kilfilium’s Cross solid place bets especially when 5/6 places is available but I can’t have them to win

Informative. Maybe ideal for EW doubles then :topsy_turvy:

I think low 130s might get a run this year.

Plenty taken out, Kilfilum Cross should get in now

The Run Wild Fred 'special' that was boosted to 8/1 with PP - was NRNB and has been refunded for me...

For anyone who was worried/concerned/unsure.

....lot of Oddschecker Blue for Bob Mahler, 33-1 with PP & Betfair looking big compared to others (generally 14-1 & 16-1).

Do we know if storm control is running here or in the ultima?

His last run can be completely ignored, hes run at Warwick 4 times and been pulled up 3 times

Back at Cheltenham looks a good e/w bet in either race

Like that each way with the 5 places on offer. Added.

Anyone know if Time to get up is running in the Midlands National or not? Was sent a screenshot of Jonjo O Neil newsletter saying he’s not running in the Kim Muir. I’ve had enough non runners today without a 25/1 going down. Any news or confirmation
