Any handicap is formed as at a particular date. Until that date, the handicapper has complete freedom to amend any rating at his absolute discretion and taking into account whatever information he deems relevant. As we saw with Dame De Compagnie last year, connections have the option of appealing a rating.

We’re pretty much on the same page Q, I consider an email where his details are clearly written at the bottom as official comms along with the wording he used. I appreciate though it is not the official published rating so he has a way out and is going to face a fair amount of opprobrium either way.

IWhen they add the tax its because they do their own rating. Now when they have their own rating they put it up just because irish rating his higher. Bit of a shambles
