Shantou Flyer @ 12/1.

Doesn't know how to run badly at Cheltenham. He did admittedly fall in the 4 miler but that was his only fall in 40 starts and his Cheltenham form reads 114222. He ran brilliantly in the Ultima, so much so Richard Hobson declared him the following morning for Friday's Gold Cup! We can chalk that up as wishful thinking and its something he wouldn't be able to do now anyway, but that shows you the regard this horse is held in and quite a few he was giving weight to in the Ultima have won well since.

I know lots are sweet on Stand Up And Fight and Ucello Conti, but winners of this race have historically come from horses that have experience at Cheltenham and I can't find one in here more experienced than Shantou Flyer.
 
Not seen Road to Rome mentioned anywhere, shot into 2nd fav by most bookmakers.

A lot of 1’s next to his name but not sure of the quality and opposition

Form of that is worthless walked over the line was silly easy, but if quick ground would have a chance you feel.
 
Shantou Flyer runs again in the 4.25 at Fontwell today, believe he needs to finish 1st or 2nd to qualify
 
Open Hunters Chase at Leicester on Tuesday at 3-00 ., got a host of entries , inc w.charm , road to riches
Champage west and Sh. flyer , but look's like that one is running today at fontwell.
 
Nice to see a price cut but the 'right' bookmakers on Caid Du Berlais over the weekend. Still get 20's NRNB though.
 
Shantou does the business and qualifies for Cheltenham
