Fat Jockey Farewells (NH)

Cadmium died after exercise this morning. Presumably a heart attack.

Poor Whisper :sorrow:

R.I.P Dude

Hennessey Gold Cup winner Diamond Harry, beating Denman in the process, PTS following problems with both front legs.

Supasundae retired. A horse I could never get right. Backed him in *that* Supreme. He always lost when I backed him and won when I left him!

Top Gamble has retired at the age of 12 - just a week after winning the final race of his illustrious career.

Trainer Kerry Lee says Top Gamble is set to become her stable hack.

Here's what she wrote on twitter:

Top Gamble was a staying-on third in the 2018 Grand Annual just over four lengths behind Le Prezien - and he was a fast finishing fourth in the previous year's Champion Chase, six lengths behind Special Tiara.

He earned nearly 200k in prize-money and won 9 of his 39 starts - getting a rating of 154 over fences with victories which included the Game Spirit Chase.

Just found out Stay Humble died today.

I loved Stay Humble... was a really speculative Bumper ante post bet one season and he came out and was absolutely pants :highly_amused:

The other three in the bet were ridiculopus shorteners and I was gutted he didn't make the boat. Fancied him for the AB the year after, also pants.... but a cliff horse, and they're the ones that make the sport so exciting.

RIP Stay Humble, I will try to :)

That's sad news.

He was one I used to go on about a bit too :highly_amused: Thought he was going to be an Ballymore or Albert Bartlett horse but that never materialised!

Have a happy retirement Yorkhill. A fair few on here owe him a bale of hay or 2 :applause:

Oh yeah 100%.

Loved Yorkhill for so long.... long term members will know he landed me my biggest ever return at the time in ther JLT, with what hindsight shows, was an unreal ride and a weak race!

Gave so much money back on him over the years though and then landed a 40/1 punt (SP 66/1) on here on his last start not that long ago (my case for him was essentially, he's a cliff horse)

One of my all time favourites because of that, a horse with so much talent, he was genuinely discussed as a Champion Hurdle and Gold Cup contender after he won the Neptune.

Cheers for the laughs Yorkhill.

A lovely summary from someone who didn't give up on him right to the very end!!:very_drunk:

I loved his JLT win, he won me chunks that day - great ride by Ruby
