Thought Majborough was going to be the first since the allowence was taken away, Gold Cup it never used to be a bother being a 10yo, think the types being brought over/bred have a shorter shelf life than the older campaigners, I do think Galopin has one big race left in him, whether its the Cheltenham Gold Cup or the Punchestown one, they'll be tears when he does it.

I remember a 5YO winning the Champion Chase …….

Only 1 has ever done it though

Was pretty quiet on the course as he crossed the line, whole place was in shock at the performance.

In doing so he beat another horse who won the Arkle as a 5yo who followed up in the QMCC too.

I think the winning 10yos era ended at roughly the same time the new drainage being installed. The end of winter sodden ground is far less common nowadays so the classier Stayers come to the fore rather than the stamina laden gnarly old plodders.

Ground could favour the plodders this year if this rain keeps a coming.

Soz.....

Back onto subject of

Nap
Lay
EW

NAP - Teahupoo (Stayers) - Lack of competition, don't think they will slip up this year.
LAY - El Cairos (Supreme) - Looks a quick horse but form is very questionable considering price and opposition.
E/W - L'Eau Du Sud (Champ Chase) - Don't see him out of the places. Jumps and Travels over c/d, this is his target.

L.D.S winning the ch. Chs , would be a Phoenix from the ashes job for me ..
One of the first a/p bets I did for this year.
But , i thought he would go ryanair , early door's ., so fingers crossed here.👍.
