Cheltenham Handicap Shortlists

Keeping an eye on a couple of potentially underrated Skeleton runners tomorrow...

County Hurdle: Betameche
Martin Pipe: Not That Fuisse

Can't seem to get a hold of Betameche's mark after the weekend, anyone shed any light on it for me?

Also what are the County Hurdle regulations? Took 100/1 with 365 before the Uttoxeter run so can cash for profit if he's not likely to qualify.

he's 124 according to BHA handicap ratings site.
will need to be higher I'd expect

Cheera Quevega, can you link me to that website? Wouldn't surprise me if Dan got another run into Bets to sneak him into the CH, its a race he likes to target! Not entered in the Supreme.

Just been looking at likely ones from that race saturday (the ladbrokes) who have potentially a stone in hand so win here then go close at cheltenham, and came up with.

Wonder Laish (obv)
Sayar,
Eclair De Beaufeu
Cut the mustard

One or two others interest me if they run well (eyecatchers) without winning, like Tully east that archie mentioned for example. Saglawy and hearts are trumps.

If you like Eclair De Beaufeu quevega then you've got to give a second look to Try Again - gets a 10lb swing for 5l difference, and EDB got the run of that race

Yeah,
Eclair seemed to do it easy enough for me and likely progressive for right trainer,
but did get first run on Try Again and the weight turnaround and better positioning should even things up a bit.
See they've both been backed tonight.
I got 18s boosted with lads earlier this afters and backed uradel at 15/2.
but may go again at something else in the morning

Cheers all. Going to do the same for a few others

Minds Eye is one I've been watching closely all season. Could today be his day rather than Cheltenham? He certainly looks well handicapped.

Uradel for the Coral Cup. Same connections as Bleu Berry. Wanted 2m+ on the flat so trip should be no problem and was finishing well there.

Although he’s only playing for places really as we all know The Storyteller wins it. :highly_amused:

Just came on to write this. Needs further and ran very well today. Coral cup/ martin pipe would be one or the other

****just seen his price, I really should have looked earlier.

Nice enough run for storyteller..... strange running him but hopefully was there for a nice spin

4 runner race. In an Irish gold cup with nice prize money down to 5th, you'd run him all day long.
No where else to get a run in unless you want to use your hurdles mark. And Gordon cleaned up that race without him.

I was on the other 2 this weekend which obviously ran in the 2 handicap hurdles. Gordon knows what he's doing.

so was I.
eclair ran a promising race.
dallas might get a big penalty though, but got paid on that today.
