Cheltenham Handicap Shortlists

He was entered over 2 miles before racing was called off.

You'd be STAGGERED if they haven't worked out the race he needs to be in.

He'll be in it, I've no doubt.

Why would their plans change and what else would he go for? Nothing else makes sense.

GE's other Kim Muir horse may be BBB for Gigginstown but Codd and Derek need a ride.

Joseph will have one lined up too for JP but not to REPLACE Gordon ...

There's only 1 confirmed race left available for Glenloe between now and the 24th in Ireland:

Fairyhouse - Saturday 23rd February
17.5F Beginners Steeplechase 5yo and up

Am I right in thinking entries for this are out tomorrow? If not Monday?

In the UK there could be 3 races he could line up that weekend if push came to shove:

Kempton - Sat 23rd Feb
2m4 Novice Chase

Chepstow - Sat 23rd
2m7 Novice Chase

Fontwell - Sun 24th
2m1 Novice Chase

And that's on the basis he has until that 23rd/24th weekend

Pretty sure there is a novice chase in naas on the 24th
Cheltenham trials day

Rockpoint fans might be interested in his pertemps entry.

Would be a slight concern, though Commander Of Fleet is turning into my main interest in the race now, I think he'll win, even if a horse like Birchdale turns up in it too, which I still have my reservations about.

Rockpoint would be great place value at the ticket I have, so would still be a gutter should he not make it.

I think you'd have to have some doubt.

if They can't get the other run in to him very very soon. The only options 4 miler.

Or a handicap hurdle.

In no way is blow by blow Gordon's only other option.

Carter McKay and especially gun digger. Would have atleast a good a chance as glenloe imo.
The latter would have a better chance than glenloe imo.

Forgive my ignorance but is there any reason why Rockport won’t turn up to the AB? I’ve got him involved in 2 antepost bets so didn’t think he was not racing in the AB??

He has a mark of 136 and an entry in a Pertemps qualifier. They may have decided he has a better chance in a handicap than the Albert Bartlett, especially as he was beat last time out by a non-stellar field.

Over a trip too short, on a flat track.

However, given the likely inclusions of COF, Easy Game and horses that look to have a bit of class about them I would now be inclined to think my 80/1 ticket is not looking quite as good as it once was when the race was looking a weaker renewal.

I’d have Lisnagar Oscar to reverse the form on their Cheltenham run too. I like Lisngar Oscar for this although I’ve not had a single bet in this so far.

Cash out on Rockpoint or sit and wait??? I can’t see him being good enough to win the Pertemps (if he qualifies). I was hoping for a repeat of a Tizzard Kilbracken Storm esque effort and thought RP fitted the bill perfectly for such a repeat.

I like Lisnager Oscar, a tough horse which will be well suited to the test of the AB and am I right that’s it’s the only race Rebecca Curtis has won at the Festival previously??

I have no choice but to leave mine as took the boosted 80's with Ladbrokes. I wouldn't be cashing it out either way though.

She won the RSA too with O’Faolains Boy

If he can’t win a Pertemps off 136, will he be able to win an Albert Bartlett then?
